25.01.2022 We are all set up and ready to say hi

24.01.2022 I've placed some of my home grown Purple Russian tomatoes out on the cart. They are like a Roma tomato but with less seeds and are darker in colour. Enjoy!

23.01.2022 Ten 4 Ten Every April and May the City of Playford offers a 'Ten local native plants for $10' Program - you can purchase tubestock of your choice at the Provena...nce Indigenous Plants nursery using a voucher from Council. This program is open to residents of Playford only, ONE voucher per household, and available to the first 200 applicants between from April 15 and May 31 - first in, best dressed (garden)! 22.01.2022 It’s International Composting Awareness Week! Why is composting important? Organic material you put into the green-lid kerbside bin is turned into compost and m...ulch for re-use in gardens improving soil quality AND stopping it from going into landfill. That’s a win/win. Any organic material you put into your red-lid general waste bin is lost to the soil, and takes up space in landfill. This is a lose/lose. A compost heap or compost system at home is far preferable to using the red-lid bin, and just as good as a green-lid bin. So many things can go into your compost, like eggs and dairy products, paper teabags and coffee grounds, hair, pet poop and garden waste plus so much more! If you prefer the convenience of having your organic material collected at the kerbside every fortnight, you can purchase a green-lid FOGO (food and garden organics) bin from NAWMA, and you’ll also receive a kitchen caddy for free. Call 8259 2100 or complete an online request form here: https://www.nawma.sa.gov.au/bookings-reque/green-waste-bin/
