20.01.2022 International Students are permitted to access Australian superannuation to support themselves during the COVID-19 crisis (refer https://www.studyinaustralia.gov.au/English/student-support for details) but this does not take into consideration that a lot of international students (out of no choice) work cash-in-hand jobs that are underpaid and are employed off-record. This means that they have no superannuation savings at all. It is these students who are in most need of fin...ancial support as they would not work underpaid jobs and allow themselves to be exploited if they had other / better options to financially support themselves. The fund provides one-off payments to help international students in financial hardship due to coronavirus (COVID-19). Applications are now open.
