We rescued it earlier this week and when we got home we found it was hiding a little secret.... Hidden within the seam was a tag reading 'spun exclusively for Ball & Welch LTD'. Ball & Welch was a prominent department store in Victoria, from the 19th century through to 1976, making this cute cotton striped fabric at least 45 years old.
