19.01.2022 Dates are locked in..

17.01.2022 As we approach the end of the community football season and the weather warms up, it’s easy to forget about the risk of COVID-19 transmission. However, AFL Masters NSW would like to remind all attendees at games that NSW Health recommendations are likely to remain in place for the foreseeable future, and must be adhered to at games: - Reduce travel where possible. No travelling to play outside of your region.... - A COVID Safe Marshall MUST be present at every game, and ensure hygiene and safety protocols are followed. - COVID Safe Marshalls are encouraged to keep a list of the latest COVID-19 case locations in NSW on-hand, either digitally or in hard copy, and ask anyone who has been to a venue on the list to either get tested, self-isolate, or monitor for symptoms according to the advice from the NSW Government. - Only registered players can participate in games. New players must register and sign requisite indemnity forms before playing. - Follow established COVID safety and hygiene protocols. Arrive, play, go. Minimise spectators. Keep 1.5m distancing, or wear a mask were this is not possible. Adopt good hand hygiene practices. For more information, visit the NSW Government page on Community sporting competitions and full training activities. For more details, visit: https://nswaflmasters.teamapp.com/articles?_list=v1 The demographic of Masters football are more at-risk compared to attendees in other formats of the game, so we must remain vigilant to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We thank everyone in the AFL Masters community for their patience and understanding in following these guidelines.

03.01.2022 COVID REMINDER | While we've enjoyed being able to get on the park for some footy this year, AFL Masters NSW would like to remind our participants we must remain vigilant to prevent the spread of COVID-19. NSW Health asked the following recommendations to be implemented on 19 August, and anticipated them to remain in place for six weeks. - Cease activities that result in the mixing of participants and staff from different regions.... - Cease any activities that result in overnight stays. - Cease face-to-face social activities relating to community sports (e.g. post-training group dinners) - Avoid carpools or bus travel with people from different household groups. - Spectators to stay 1.5m apart or wear a mask if you can't. For more details, visit: https://www.sport.nsw.gov.au/novel-coronavirus-covid-19 We understand this may limit opportunities for play, but we hope to avoid a situation where penalties are imposed for lack of compliance, or worse, cases of the virus are spread among our participants. Thanks for your patience and understanding, AFL Masters NSW.

01.01.2022 After an update from the AFL, we will be following the new NSW Guidelines that come into force last night. Players can currently travel within Sydney, but players are not to travel from outside Sydney & participate, or from inside Sydney to other areas including Central Coast & Wollongong. In summary: - This weekend is as scheduled. - Proposed sporting zone in Sydney: no travel to regional games or outside your region.... - Adhere to the Covid Plan. - No club face-to-face presentation nights. No club functions. - Minimal spectators, no buses or car pooling. - Play/train - then leave. We have a duty of care to our player & these small changes may keep us on the field for a bit longer.
