I would just like to remind everyone that every single team in this league has at one time or another had a period where they have struggled for players. It is very hard in this town with shift work and being such a small town. Instead of negative comments the Mount Isa AFL community should be supportive of any team that is struggling. ... It is up to everyone in this league to make sure that we can continue to to play AFL in Mount Isa! If one of the teams in this league fell it would have a negative effect on every single team. We will not tolerate any negative comments against anyone or any team on this page. So please refrain from negative comments. 15.01.2022 WOMENS AFL IN MOUNT ISA The north west has been calling on an AFLW team for years, and Mount Isa may see the beginnings of a women's competition. Makeshift... teams struck whilst the iron was hot last Saturday, when a scheduled AFL game was cancelled. Organiser Cheraine Sewter said she was surprised that Mount Isa didn't have a female competition, after playing in Cairns.

07.01.2022 A big thank you to Shane Boofa McCarthy for mowing our lawns! Also a big thank you to the committee for watering the ground when Shane is out of town for work every second week. The ground has come such a far way in the past 3 months. From half the ground being dead to now the grass is green and looks so amazing.
