13.01.2022 What a wonderful night last night thanking the many wonderful volunteers that helped the Suns run this year. There are so many of you also that did not make the night and we are so grateful for the endless support you give to ensure your kids can continue to play this wonderful game. BIG congratulations to our Club Volunteer Award recipients for 2020. Annie White aka Covid Safety Officer, aka Canteen Coordinator, aka Fundraising & Events Coordinator was a worthy recipient thi...s year after getting us all through COVID, opening a brand new canteen and managing all of the events that (did not) happen! @Trent Larcombe aka Fitness Trainer to the elite, aka Assistant Coach, aka Runner, aka just top humble guy again a worthy recipient. The time and planning and love put into training the boys is second to none and we are lucky to have him in the club getting our boys fittest on the ground every season. Again, thank you everyone for everything you do to support the Club and we look forward to a bright and full season in 2021!!- Kristy

13.01.2022 After an amazing season and winning the minor premiership our U16YG were devastatingly upset by a fierce Queenwood yesterday in the Semi finals. Queenwood brought their A game and our girls just couldn't match it. Final score 14-21. We wish them well against Manly in the GF. Well done to all the girls, coach Pete, manager Kristy and our wonderful parent group for their support of the team this year. We will be back bigger, better and stronger in 2021 as a divided group of 16s and 18s!

01.01.2022 The rain stopped and the sun shone through for the semi final clash of the U11 div1 minor premiers Balgowlah Suns and the Mosman Swans. Having secured home field advantage and 2 previous wins against Mosman the Balgowlah boys were primed to not let their guard down and secure a grand final spot. Balgowlah were on top the entire match and after a sluggish first quarter the boys delivered the crowd three quarters of champagne football, overwhelming Mosman 13.3.81 to 2.1.13. Com...mitment to the ball and ball use was excellent. The back line was rock solid quickly cutting off Mosman’s forward entries and launching the Suns quickly into attack. The midfield linked up and moved the ball beautifully while almost completely starving a talented Mosman midfield of any opportunities. Claude Gatehouse booted 3 goals from the mids. Up front the crowd was treated to a full forward performance not seen since Gary Ablett Snr booted 9 against Hawthorn in the 1989 Grand Final. Noah Keam besting the great man, kicking his 10th after the full time siren. See you Sunday at the Grand Final!! #gosuns #playstrong See more
