20.01.2022 We thank God for such a successful event yesterday. #MissAfricaCanberra2018 Our special thanks goes out to all our 9 wonderful judges who sacrificed their precious time to be with us on the night. We thank each and everyone who came/participated in any form to help make the event a success. Our sincere appreciation goes out to Our sponsors. ... Congratulations to all the contestants for the great work, entertaining the audience and most importantly displaying your beautiful talents and traditions. Congratulations to the WINNER (Miss Nettie Kamanda) 2nd runner up (Favor Wallace) & 3rd place (Yasmine Kita). Kudos to the organisers of the event, the Dj’s, photographers, & the entire staff of Hellenic club! Images from the event would be shared on this platform soon!

09.01.2022 On behalf of the Africa Party in the Park team, we would like to extend our profound appreciation to you all for coming to celebrate Africa with us. Yesterday was a celebration of diversity, unity and togetherness regardless of race, colour, country, ethnicity and background. We are all proud Canberrans and Australians, and this is what our beautiful multicultural city stands for. To our brothers and sisters from Africa, thank you for coming in your numbers to showcase Africa... to Canberra. Your class, friendliness, unity and vibrant culture proved wrong the gentleman of an advocacy group based in Canberra who told us not to host the event because our brothers and sisters in other parts of Australia are giving us a bad name and that it is a blessing in disguise that the ACT government did not support us. I am a proud member of this advocacy group, but when you have leaders like this who are supposed to support initiatives that bring the community together, and this is what they say to you, it breaks your heart. To the fantastic team behind Africa party in the Park, thank you to you all your tireless efforts. You guys are amazing! To Rayswift Moutrage and Associates, Fair Canberra, Rocket Remit, The AFP, MARSS and lastly to our venue partner, The National Capital Authority, we say thank you for your support and partnership. Next year is going to be better and bigger by the grace of God. God bless you all.

08.01.2022 It was a night of true African beauty and culture. Here is the first album of a series. Tag a friend and share the joy.
