The awards seek to recognise and celebrate Young African Australians in Queensland who are high performers and demonstrate outstanding achievement. We encourage everyone to nominate young people who are doing great things in their lives and for the community. This is their opportunity to shine and be recognised for their efforts. 08.01.2022 Ebola virus fundraising appeal - The Sierra Leone community in Queensland has launched an appeal to raise funds for protective clothing, medical tools and hand sanitisers to help curb the Ebola virus outbreak in Sierra Leone. Queensland African Communities Council (QACC) and Multicultural Development Association (MDA) invite women of all cultures to come together at African House from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on International Womens Day, Sunday 8 March 2015, for their always joyful and festive International Womens Day Lunch.... The International Womens Day Lunch celebrates women from all cultures, and attendees will have the opportunity to be inspired by guest speakers and to enjoy good company and a delicious lunch of international cuisines accompanied by entertainment from Africa, India and the Pacific Islands.
