25.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE : CLASSES POSTPONED TILL FURTHER NOTICE We’ve given this a great deal of thought...and in line with best medical guidance and evidenced public health measures, we feel the responsible thing to do is to postpone our regular classes and events for now. We have an extended responsibility to take care of not only you, but also your grandparents, your extended family members who may fit a vulnerable population group, and our swamped health sector struggling with ...the load of worried well, right alongside the critically or chronically unwell who need these services. We’re not big on fear and panic. The CoVid-19 measures we should implement are fundamentally simple. And we should do what we can. Social distancing is the extra yard we can contribute for now, as a business based on a close interpersonal interface. Knowing that our Afrikan Soul family share our community commitment and social conscience, makes that an easier decision to make. ....And believe us, when we all come back together on the other side of this, it will be a Kizomba community event to end all events!! It goes without saying, if you have purchased a term pass or a 10-class pass with Afrikan Soul, that is on hold and will not expire...we’ll pick up right where we left off as soon as we can And if there is any one of you who need help, support, supplies or advice...please reach out. That’s what the community is here for (and you know between us we’re an incredibly resourced and skilled bunch) Let’s keep communication lines open and we’ll get through these next few weeks the best way we know how ** Ps. Don't worry about too much of a void, we'll find ways to get content and Kizomba to you over the social distancing break...just watch this space!! **

25.01.2022 Maybe we can’t dance right now...but we can reflect As lovers of our home and our roots, the culture and the dance that flows from it, and in our wish to preserve this for our daughter...let’s remember where we started. The covid cloud will lift, and we will dance. The meaning we carry with that matters now more than ever... Thanks to Tania for some perfect penmanship here And to our students, hang in there! Our community will be together again soon, more united for this shared tragedy. Kizomba was born in moments like this.
