19.01.2022 We made the call to postpone a offshore shoals charter today thinking it may be a bit lumpy but looking back maybe it was a bad call. So with the day free we did a recy trip looking over some ground. Was a surprise with a double hookup of these girls out of some deep water. But pretty cool to see along with some school size fingers, a black Jew and a few big long tail tuna

16.01.2022 Been a bit slack on the old social media these days as we have been flat out with a lot going on. Today we did a school hours session with Ness and Darryn. Landed 4 from 7 hookups with a handful of missed bites as well. All fish between the 70-80cm mark with Ness landing the lot and Darryn well let's just say he couldn't even hook a snag

15.01.2022 Ryan with the 3rd jewie in 10 mins which then warranted a move to get away. Pretty cool few days of fishing with some slow periods followed by some pretty intense bite periods. Very typical considering the morning south westerlies

15.01.2022 Has been a while since I have posted. Reason being we have been working hard behind the scenes to bring another option for AFS Sportsfishings clients. Still some paperwork, mods and decals to go on her but August onwards will bring some pretty cool new opportunities for our clients. We will be taking bookings for August and beyond so please feel free to share this post. All charters can be customized to suit clients needs from family day trips around magnetic island all the w...ay to full days reef charters. We will be continuing with our inshore and estuary charters on our longboat and are very proud to be able to offer all options out of Townsville and surroundings. Also please note that we will only be booking 1 vessel per day out so you have the confidence in knowing you are spending your day with the owner/operator to ensure a great day on the water. 15.01.2022 A wrap up of the last few days with these 2 legends. Well done lads with the patients during the southwesterlies but persistence pays so nice work. Was good to finish some epic sessions off with a swag of school sized Barra. Some cool pb's in that bunch

13.01.2022 I have been asked a lot of late why I don't fish the shipping channel for Jew and fingermark. Long story short I was shown years ago from a friend how to catch them in good numbers there and out of respect I haven't chased them on charter since. It is good to see local fishers landing some good fish in the channel. Personally I have no interest in competing with 20 other boats to land a couple of fish when you get a much better kick finding patches elsewhere that produce not only better quality fish but bigger schools too. This is Claudios biggest of the day today and even Ryan got a little excited by the the slabe that popped up. They are pretty cool once they start pushing up into that 90cm range. Some pretty good fish for day 1 boys. Well done

08.01.2022 A massive welcome MV Audacity ready to go. With every week seeing more and more cosmetic improvement and accessories being added this absolute fishing weapon is only going to get better and better. Which is very hard to believe as she is by far the best day boat I have ever set foot on. Such an amazing ride through chop and so stable at rest she just ticks all the boxes including great speed for her size. Not only will we be running her for islands, shoals and reef fishing charters we open her up to endless non fishing related charters and cruises as well. Cheers Adam

07.01.2022 Massive thanks to Col from the marine guys for all his work on the big girl. This lonestar is an absolute weapon and will make life out there so much easier while allowing a lot more fishing time for clients. A boat that easily does 30 knots and takes less than a couple of minutes to up anchor is what Townsville needs.

03.01.2022 First half decent chance to finally forget about chasing Barra and head a few klm out to some areas I haven't played on for a while and first drop this happens. A decent little session for the morning to fill the esky then back to pull the pots out for 22 solid mud crabs ended the day off well. Cheers boys

Great to see good numbers of solid schoolies as they are great fun in the tight country. Peter and Charlie with a couple from a hand full landed while luring today. Cheers boys
