EFIL's representative Emilija Gagrin, member of the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe, discussed a...bout the future of Germany in the Council of Europe together with the German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, the Prime Minister of Saarland Tobias Hans and the political scientist Prof. Dr. Birte Wassenberg. Emilija advocacted for youth mobility and youth participation, highlighting the key role of non-profit youth exchange organisations. Both topics will be priorities of the German Chairmanship of the Council of Europe, starting in November. EFIL thanks Emilija for being such a committed youth advocate and EFIL ambassador! The discussion took place at the event '70 years of German participation in the Council of Europe: Where do we Stand, what’s next?' on Friday 18 September, hosted by the German Federal State Saarland.
