25.01.2022 Yesterday the Premier announced Melbourne will move out of lockdown and into Third Step restrictions, changes in place from 11:59pm on Tuesday 27 October. These changes include: - Melbourne will move from "stay home" to "stay safe", with no more restrictions on the reasons to leave home. - Melbourne's cafes, restaurants and pubs will reopen subject to density limits.... - Remaining retail will open whilst beauty and personal care services can resume. If cases remain low from 8 November, Melbourne will be able to meet regional Victoria at the same level of restrictions. 19.01.2022 The Reserve Bank of Australia has decided to keep the cash rate at a record low 0.25% as it waits to see the economic response to new wave of stimulus in the 2020-21 Federal Budget. The decision to hold the cash rate came as a surprise to some who were expecting a drop to a new record low of 0.1%.
19.01.2022 The Fair Work Commission announced earlier this year that there would be an increase to the minimum wage in Australia, coming into effect on three different dates for different groups of industry awards. The increase will result in pay rises for more than two million Australians who are paid the minimum wage or have their pay set by awards that increase in line with the decision.

14.01.2022 It was good news for Victoria over the weekend with the announcement of further easing of restrictions bringing regional Victoria and metro Melbourne together. All rules that applied to regional Victoria now apply to the whole state. Some of these changes include: - the 25km limit will no longer be in place - maximum of two people to visit a home per day... - hospitality venues can host up to 40 customers indoors and 70 outdoors - indoor entertainment venues, gyms and indoor sporting facilities can open with up to 20 people per space - the rules around visiting hospitals and aged care facilities have also been relaxed. From 22 November Victoria is on track to reach the 'Last Step' in the roadmap towards reopening. Let's stay safe, stay open and keep going.

10.01.2022 Today kicks off the Move for Mental Health challenge and we're off to a cracking start with over $1,700 donated to our team in under 24 hours! Wow! We are walking, running and cycling to raise money for Bendigo Health mental health facilities. We have set a combined goal to log 8,000km for the month and raise $3,000. For AFS this was about more than a friendly fundraising competition. This year has been challenging for everybody and our team has been working remotely. The fundraiser provided a great way to support the community while energising our team to reconnect, refresh and move outdoors.
