16.01.2022 Jai Breisch, a tsunami survivor, is a talented songwriter and musician. In recent months he has secured a recording contract and is on his way to achieving his dream of being able to write and produce music for a living. Jai says the tsunami and the tragedy of his sister passing, does not define who he is. He knows that through the experiences of the last ten years he is a stronger more complete person. He is somebody who never takes life for granted, knowing he is not invincible. He hopes his survival through grief and trauma will give hope to others. Led by a crack Australian team, the best forensic specialists from around the world were in a race against time to give back every local and foreign victim their identity. 01.01.2022 Sussi Janson lost her daughters Josefin and Eleonor in the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami. On hearing the news Sussi immediately travelled to Thailand to search for her daughters. It took eight months to find and identify Josefin and Eleonor. Whilst she was searching for them, Sussi moved to Phuket to work in a tsunami orphanage. Ten years on, Sussi along with her husband Hans now manages the Barnhem Muang Mai orphanage www.barnhem.org
