25.01.2022 The BOM sadly keeps teasing us with its forecasts, but here’s a little reminder from clients Harrison Farming that anything is possible! Everything crossed there’s a change on the horizon soon #Repost @harrison.farming with @get_repost We love seeing a crop we’ve planted for a client looking this good! But we’re certainly hoping the forecast takes a surprising turn... just like ScoMo! #australianagriculture #harrisonfarming #wheatplanting2019 #excelag
25.01.2022 We can't claim this fantastic campaign by Warialda Public School but we think it's an absolute cracker! Well done Dan Van Velthuizen and team on a fun and interactive initiative - the perfect example of how social media can elevate any message. From humble beginnings promoting routine reading, Warialda's #readingrevolution has certainly gone viral, with Adam Marshall and Sarah Mitchell both adding their weight. Lets see if social media can get this promotion all the way to the top - C'mon Scott Morrison (ScoMo) it's your turn next!
24.01.2022 That Anna Harrison sure can hustle, especially when it comes to our fabulous clients PJ's Country Wares And thanks to Adam Marshall MP for the shout out - these caps sold out within the day - talk about a social media influencer!
23.01.2022 They’re fierce and fashion forward, Happy Mother’s Day to these two crackers! We both have beautiful, close relationships with our Mothers and we wouldn’t have it any other way... sending our love today to Gai and Jane!
21.01.2022 If there was ever a testament to the power of social media, this is it! Anna had the pleasure of meeting Lucy from Mink and me in Coonamble recently, one of the gorgeous rural businesses featured in the #buyfromthebush campaign. Over 120 orders in just one weekend! Lucy has employed three extra locals to help with demand and the shop is a buzz from the hype of this social media burst. This awesome initiative is helping droughtproof bush businesses in the most meaningful and practical way, so if you think social media doesn’t matter, think again!
21.01.2022 As if we don’t all have enough to worry about at the moment - scammers have been rife over recent weeks, taking advantage of the COVID-19 uncertainty to cause havoc on home computers and social media accounts - some of our own clients included. If you have any strange or unusual password request emails act with caution, phishing emails impersonating entities are not just annoying, they can be financially dangerous. Plus there’s a real chance of having your whole social media... presence hijacked, and subsequently lost. The following link has some great information www.scamwatch.gov.au so stay sharpe friends, it would be very sad to lose your social media - especially at a time like this! Has anyone out there had success regaining a ‘stolen’ Instagram account? #scammer #phishing #media #marketing #socialmediamarketing #contentmarketing #ruralbusiness
21.01.2022 When two of the highlights of Mungindi's social calendar collide - Anna's birthday and the Mungindi Races! Happy Birthday today to our very own Anna, and look out Mungindi - no doubt there will be plenty of birthday cheer come Saturday at the races! AG social has been delighted to manage Mungindi Races social media and we can't wait for a great day out on Saturday - although at the moment anyone would think all we do is attend Picnic Races!!
19.01.2022 As Moree gears up for one of its favourite social days of the year, it’s been a pleasure managing Moree Picnic Races social media marketing. A fun campaign reflecting the merry nature of Picnic racing, we wish the committee all the best for this Saturday’s event. A stronger focus on thanking sponsors - without disengaging the audience - was a large part of this year’s strategy, our local businesses give so much to our rural communities and ensure our social fabric remains v...ibrant. Personalising their contribution beyond a tag or logo proved a great success, and shone a well-deserved spotlight their way. And, as always, promoting Fashions on the Field proved lots of fun! See you all at @moreepicnicraces on Saturday! . . . When it comes to Fashions on the Field, it’s a jungle out there and while animal prints remain strong this season, would-be fashionistas best leave last season’s off-the-shoulder look at home, lest risk a real cat fight. Next weekend two of Moree's most stylish, Sarah Kirkby and Toy Barwick, will be scouting the crowds for the highly coveted Fashion on the Field competition at next weekend’s Moree Picnic Races. And from behind their cat-eye sunglasses, there will be little this sharp-sighted duo will miss. For all Toy and Sarah's fashion suggestions see link in bio. A huge thanks to our major sponsors of Moree Picnic Races Fashions on the Field, Beauty Matters and Assefs - we can't wait to see what our gorgeous race-goers step out it! @milesy_k @toybarwick . . #moreepicnicraces #fashionsonthefield #moree #mymoree #fashion #style #countrystyleloves #countrystyle #autumnracing #womeninracing @womeninracingnsw @beautymatters.moree @assefs_moree @womeninracingau @countrystylemag #contentcreator #contentmanager #eventplanner #eventmarketing #picnicracing #moreepicnicraces #bushracing #socialmediamarketing #socialmedia #socialmediamanager #ruralsocialmedia #regionalsocialmediamanager See more
19.01.2022 2020 has thrown us a curve ball, to say the very least. And while the majority of our rural and regional events have, disappointingly, been postponed, their social media marketing strategies needn't - the show will go on, but you don't want to lose momentum in the meantime. The 2020 Moree On a Plate food and wine festival was one casualty of COVID-19, however, AG Social has worked closely with the committee to adjust its strategy, pivoting the focus back on the festival's pr...oducers - ensuring relevant and consistent content that not only promotes the festival, but helps showcase small businesses, many of whom have been impacted by the current pandemic. Moree on a Plate was also recently the successful recipient of $10,000 in funding from the NSW State Government - its strong social media presence paramount to this funding success. Anyone who has applied for any government grant money will know just how important a strong social media account is when it comes to securing those highly coveted funds! If you have an event you want to ensure remains relevant during these tricky times, and helps you remain ahead of the game when applying for government grants, get in touch, we can't wait to see our regions flourish again - hopefully sooner rather than later!
19.01.2022 No races? No worries! Happy Birthday to our very own Anna Harrison - the Mungindi Races may have been cancelled this weekend but those folk out West sure know how to make do!
19.01.2022 It’s a tough day at the office! Great to be out supporting our clients at the @moreepicnicraces
16.01.2022 Be gone the two tooth whinging farmer stereotype! Great to see Mungindi's Sam Heagney of South Bunarba Agriculture last night on ABC 24, giving a practical and honest assessment of the short-term, and potential long-term, benefits of the current rainfall across much of the region. While social media can fuel the avalanche of fake news currently on the internet, it can also be an extremely powerful tool for giving our rural communities a voice. ... In response to his strong Twitter following, Sam has become one of the region's unofficial spokespeople, a highly considered and thoughtful voice, directly from the coalface. Thanks to social media, traditional media now has direct access to some of our brightest young farmers, and it's reassuring to know that rural Australia has trusted voices representing us. Here's to people like Sam, Tom Marland - food for thought and thought for food Bulla Burra Life in the Mulga and so many other inspirational social media voices helping educate and spread rural Australia’s story - you've got to be in it to win it!
14.01.2022 A great article on Beef Central recently regarding marketing through COVID-19. While specific to meat marketing, it included some really interesting statistics, including the fact that '43% of consumers said it was reassuring to hear from brands they know and trust, while 40% want to hear what brands are doing in response to the pandemic. Only 15% said they do not want to hear from brands.' Social media has emerged as a key marketing, and selling, platform during this unprecedented time and we're thrilled to see so many rural businesses leveraging their strong social media presence. If you feel your social media strategy and content is letting your business down, look no further, we'd love to help put you on the map!
13.01.2022 An awesome opportunity this week to head out to South Bunarba Agriculture and talk all things cotton. The Mungindi Cotton Growers Association is an active and progressive group of farmers wanting to spread the passion for what they do. The group has recently come on board with AG Social Media and we are thrilled to have them! Now, more than ever, agriculture needs advocacy and a strong, consistent voice across social media. Look out keyboard warriors, we’re ready to fight with facts! 12.01.2022 'Whoever writes the posts for your FB page is awesome. I love to read them and remember old faces and I love the way they personalise each person's purchase. Giving up-to-date commentary on them and things like weather, farming and work around the region. I follow this page, like and share because of these very posts. Advertising, yes, but done in a way that makes everybody feel like they are part of the company. Well done to FMBC and all it's staff and I hope to follow you f...or many more years to come.' Fantastic feedback this week from one of our client's, Fmbc Moree followers. AG Social prides itself on offering a personalised service that reflects the individual character and culture of each business - a service we believe is only possible if you live and breath the rural community like we do! Done correctly, Social Media is such a powerful advertising tool - you just never know who's watching!
12.01.2022 What’s better than one Sandy at Moree Real Estate - two Sandys! Look out! AG Social Media has discovered @tiktok - and with two ten-year-old daughters between us, we have our own in-house experts on hand 24-7! This could be very fun ... #socialmediamarketing #socialmedia #ruralmarketing #agmarketing #agriculturalmarketing #contentcreation #onlinesales #content #rurallife #mymoree
11.01.2022 It's been a busy week here at AG Social as we help our clients navigate these unprecedented times (some messaging was a bit more lighthearted than others!) but there's no doubt about the relevance of social media for rural businesses. Wayne here sold out of all his toilet paper 20 minutes after this was uploaded, with more on backorder, all thanks to this one post! You just never know whose watching! If you're struggling to get your message across, maintain social media presence, generate sales or just increase online visibility, please don't hesitate to get in contact, social media will be key to connectivity during these uncertain, and unprecedented times.
10.01.2022 This one's a bit of a home grand final for one half of our team, and as such AG Social is thrilled to be supporting the social media marketing for tomorrow's Talmoi Picnic Races. It's one of Australia's most historic picnic race meetings, and we're proud to ensure this great event has a strong digital footprint well into the future. All the best to the committee for a great day tomorrow, we can't wait to see you there! Rachel Walker Images
08.01.2022 It's Game Day for one of AG Social's most recent clients, Weebollabolla Shorthorns, as it hosts its annual on-farm bull sale today. As progressive as it is historic, Weebollabolla has embraced social media with gusto and knows the value of a good, old fashioned collaboration. Engaging Sascha Estens of Rabbit Hop Films for a number of social media friendly videos, the business has enjoyed a strong campaign leading up to today's sale and we're thrilled to see some of these cl...ips being shared across Australia. AG Social has a number of talented local creatives we work with regularly and we're more than happy to think outside the square and collaborate for some extra punchy content! All the best to Jen, Sandy and the team at Weebollabolla today, ensuring your bulls are in such great condition during a season like this is a true testament to you. See more
07.01.2022 Moree on a Plate is one of the region's most cherished events, and it's one of AG Social Media's favourite campaigns to work on. A fabulous celebration of community and showcase of local talent, tomorrow is the day, and it's been an absolute pleasure contributing to this significant rural event. Thanks to a specific strategy of quality content and creative collaborations, Moree on a Plate has enjoyed a huge reach, and we look forward to welcoming visitors from across Australia to the region tomorrow. The power of social media is extraordinary!
02.01.2022 Look out, AG Social is taking over the world Well, maybe not but we sure are full of inspiration and ideas after a visit with the very clever Bec Fing of House Paddock Training and Consulting in Goondiwindi. We had an awesome brainstorming session and general business health check and reboot, and we’re looking to the future with a skip in our step thank you Bec! A must for any local business looking to grow, increase efficiencies or have ideas challenged. We gained so muc...h having Bec’s super insightful eyes cast a fresh glance over AG Social, so look out! 02.01.2022 We're always thrilled when our content is shared nationally, as was the case for local client Moree Tyrepower - highlighted this week on the official Tyrepower page. This national reach generates fabulous publicity - for local business, and for the local region. Through genuine, honest and engaging content AG Social Media is helping put rural Australia, its people, events and businesses in front of a national audience - one post at a time.
01.01.2022 Our little business turns two today, our mission when setting up AG Social was to help promote rural and regional businesses through social media. Never could we have envisaged two years ago what a challenging path lay ahead for our rural communities and what a pivotal role social media would play in shaping the national conscious. Now, more than ever, rural businesses need a strong online presence - whether it’s for advocacy, education or it’s simply a small, drought ...affected local business looking to generate sales. We are so proud of all our clients for putting full confidence in us managing their social media accounts. We are as passionate today as the day we started AG Social on ensuring rural Australia has a strong social media footprint and its message is heard. Here’s cheers to progressive small business embracing social media, and many more years of AG Social! . . #agsocialmedia #ruraladvocacy #foodandfibre #australianagriculture ##smallbusiness #supportsmall #supportlocal #mymoree #moree #mungindi #toowoomba #goondiwindi #warialda #contentmanager #socialmediamanager #contentcreator #socialmedia #ruralcommunities #onedayclosertorain See more
