The vehicles look like this and can safely accommodate a driver and a passenger (seat belts, roll cage etc); Inline images 1This is a Polaris XP1000 Side by Side (SXS) My Polaris XP900 has hand controls installed and people with disability are welcome to either drive or be a passenger. A lot of other brand side by side vehicles will be there on the day and the owners are keen to take passengers and possibly have a drive if you feel confident. The venue is a farm near Pingelly approx 2 hours from Perth with two lovely drives available Inline images 2 People are welcome to come down either just for the day (Saturday and/or Sunday) or camp the night. Some people have found suitable accommodation in nearby towns. Date Saturday 14th October and Sunday 15th October Time From midday Saturday to 3.00pm Sunday Location 3810 Wickepin-Pingelly Road, East Pingelly Contact Jim Cairns on 0418 915747 for any queries or reassurance. 22.01.2022 Update from The Ride documentary team

21.01.2022 Your input appreciated if you have ever had experience with a local area coordinator (lac) in Western Australia. It could influence what sort of NDIS you get in Western Australia. Some people have had a great experience and others not so great. The NDIS is designed for "choice and control". Please take the 5 minutes to complete. It could be essential to get as much feedback, positive or negative, to help Grimm what we end up with in WA.

21.01.2022 The guys are in Mulga Downs now. #thecrocthatrocks

20.01.2022 Message from Jim. Unfortunately we had to pull out of the 2017 bash because Rex needs a knee reconstruction after a push bike accident and I had a heart attack on the 10th August requiring a stent to be put in. No problem will bounce back. Variety rolled our fundraising over to the 2018 bash so we will be back in next year. At least the car will be ready to go as we have been preparing it for the last month or so.

17.01.2022 West Australians only Last chance in this quick survey to have your say on your experience with your local area coordinator (LAC) be it good or bad. The wa government believes the state lac system is one reason to have their own hybrid system of the NDIS and not adopt the national system. Please take the 5-10 mins (max) to fill this out and make comments where appropriate.

12.01.2022 We are still planning to get the croc (Ford LTD stretch limo) into the bash this year. Mick is off elsewhere, Ray is working on a project and Rex has stuffed his knee. Feeling a bit lonely in the croc. Any interested parties wanting an adventure. (PS will cost you about $2k for a week and that covers all your tucker, fuel and lovely accommodation in your swag at a caravan park..) (PSS you have to look after a large fella in a wheelchair...)

12.01.2022 Jim and Rex (directors of My Supports) participated in the 2016 variety bash from Kununurra to Broome in August. They went with two like minded mates Mick & Ray.... They were voted by their peers and won the spirit of the bash award. Overall the bash raised close to $700k for children in need. An incredible group of community spirited people from all walks of life attended and did the fund raising. A pleasure to have been involved. See more

12.01.2022 From all of us at Against The Grain, we wish Rex Baker a very Happy Birthday.

12.01.2022 All of us at Against The Grain want to wish Jim Cairns a Happy Birthday.

11.01.2022 We won the "spirit of the bash" award on the final nights presentation as voted by our peers. The croc was very reliable with three flat tyres, a hole in the exhaust and a broken left hand rear brake line. We did a bit of air con fine tuning and it worked a treat. We saw some magnificent countryside and met some incredible people on the 2016 variety bash. Close to $700k raised by the cars participating for children in need. All participants very genuine in their fund raisi...ng. Thanks to everyone that supported us especially Rachel from ink remedy who did an outstanding job of both coordinating and doing our theme on the 1980 ford ltd stretch limo. Great team of blokes too with Rex, Ray, Mick and Jim. See more

11.01.2022 Please make the effort to complete this quick survey with your LAC experience be it good or bad. The system we get in wa from the NDIS may be influenced by your experience.
