08.01.2022 Nominations for the 2020 Emerging Designer of the Year close today. The AGDA award for Emerging Designer of the Year recognises young designers making their mark on our industry. It is aimed at designers aged under 30, who work within a large agency, own and operate their own studio, or who practice as an independent designer. We're seeking your nominations for 2020 whose contribution to the industry is outstanding. They could be someone you know, or a self-nomination.... To nominate, sign in to your AGDA account, then select ‘Emerging Designer of the Year’ from the Award Entries list. You’ll need to include up to 250 words explaining why you believe they are the 2020 Emerging Designer of the Year. The AGDA Awards Team will contact each nominee and invite them to submit an entry into the Emerging Designer category, showcasing up to ten pieces of work, a short biography and an outline of additional referees, contributions and personal work. From a shortlist of five, jurors select the winning based on the quality of the work presented and the entrant’s impact upon the design industrybased on the biography, referees and extracurricular activities. https://bit.ly/3lRdMnF

Excited to announce that thanks to our good friends at Damn Good Productions you can now officially RSVP for our online awards event. RSVP for the AGDA Awards online ceremony 3 Dec 2020... 6pm (AEDT) start Approx 7.45pm finish Free to attend Open to everyone Not unlike our call for entries, and our judging, planning an awards ceremony has been very different to those of the past. As y’all know the strength of AGDA is when we hang out and come together. With the good old C’word, some regions can already. Awesome!!! For us however, It did not feel fair or right to run an event that excluded so many of our members who are still bound by distance. If you’re in a state with low restrictions get a group together! Watch the awards and celebrate the incredible work produced this year. If you’re a studio with a large space. Consider inviting some neighbouring studios. Grab a slab of beer, chops, and soda and celebrate together. And if you are at home watching solo we promise still an enjoyable show!
