Although this health tip is suggested to kickstart your metabolism of a morning, did you know you could also be damaging your teeth? ACID WEAR is a growing problem, causing teeth to become temporarily softened, making them vulnerable to wear. Over time, this can alter their appearance, and leave you with permanent loss of enamel - exposing dentine, which is yellow in colour. So how can you PREVENT acid wear? If yo...u're starting your morning with lemon and water, lubricate your mouth first, with a regular glass of water. You can also use a straw angled toward the back of the mouth to help keep teeth protected. Wait as long as possible before brushing your teeth after consuming acidic food or drinks (ideally 1 hour) as this is when your enamel is at its softest. And of course visit your local dentist REGULARLY! :) See more

03.01.2022 Aspendale Gardens Dental Group is proud to announce we're getting on board Haemophillia Awareness week, (October 11-17th 2015) and helping to raise funds for the Haemophilia Foundation Australia. In conjunction with Aspendale Gardens Medical Centre, we'll be hosting a 'Red Cake Day' fundraiser to help support Australian families living with the Haemophilia. This is a foundation very close to the heart of our dental nurse, Sally (who's younger brother has the disorder) so your generosity during awareness week would mean a lot! We will be selling 'Red Cakes' for a gold coin donation during the week, so come in and see us for a sweet treat! (For a good cause!)
