24.01.2022 Today is white on white. Love the fresh simplicity of white. Recently I was slightly confronted when someone said in a passing comment that a person they met who was the same age as me was 'old' . This got me thinking about what this person meant and I concluded that 'old' is an expression applied to people we meet who exude an outer appearance of old age because of their attitude, their dress, their grooming and their energy in particular. We can choose to be old or we can ...choose to be relevant. Find what you enjoy and be good at it, make time to learn new things, try different styles to change up your look and importantly, seek out and have younger friends as well as friends your age. Don't stop growing and don't fall into the trap of conforming....DON'T BE OLD Age disgracefully I say. 24.01.2022 Thanks for all the birthday love. Has been a big week of celebrations and now I am kicking back and enjoying a g&t and reflecting on what is ahead. New career, my son's wedding in February and making quiet plans for future travels which we will bank until we are able to bring them to life. In the meantime, proud of my recent purchase because I am a firm believer that money doesn't buy you style. This dress was reduced to $99 on sale and it was the perfect fit, length, fabr...ic and print. The secret is to know your body shape, your height and the colours and prints that suit you and try to choose timeless designs which won't date. Don't be afraid to wear fitted clothes if you are carrying weight. Just make sure they fit well and flatter. 22.01.2022 Cruising through the weekend. Have always been someone who had a long term plan in life. Aspirations, goals and mapped out pathway for getting there. I still aspire and set myself personal goals but I also realise that some things are out of our control and we just have to go along for the ride. Menopause is a bit like that. What happens is out of our hands but recognising it, acknowledging it and owning it is what we can do. It is not an excuse to give up and let yourself be... overcome by the changes in your body, your fitness or your mental wellbeing.
