25.01.2022 Original marble mantel piece painstakingly removed, cleaned, and reinstated after the hearth and cast iron insert were replaced. Got it done in a day too

24.01.2022 False chimney build for todays job. 6 1/2 hours to build the frame, have the gas run and electrics- data cabling installed, stone base installed, gas unit installed, plaster hung, stopped up and top coated. Dry over the weekend, Monday will see the plaster sanded, cornice installed, hearth stone laid, cast iron facia installed, mantel installed and finally skirtings installed. 2 day build.

23.01.2022 After and before, granite hearth installation and on site cast iron restoration.

21.01.2022 This incredibly amazing fireplace is part of La Torre, a 16th-century Italian watchtower on the Tuscan coast, which has been turned into a fabulous holiday home by Italian fashion designer Elsa Peretti. Taking orders now

20.01.2022 Rustic hall table with steel legs 100% manufactured inhouse using recycled timber @ Ageless fireplaces.

20.01.2022 One of the most beautiful inserts i’ve ever had the pleasure of restoring.

20.01.2022 Another happy customer and future fireplace restorer proud of his work here. First day helping dad and learning the trade.

19.01.2022 Latest project completed, after a long fruitless search for a corner cabinet, some original french armoir doors were purchased by the customer from Bailey n co antiques in seaford. They needed a matching cabinet built to house the tv and to fit into a corner. Patina and colour matched with great care. Extremily pleased with the results on this one and a very happy customer too.

19.01.2022 Before and after a recent job. 1 day turnaround too.

19.01.2022 Rustic recycled timber with steel leg dining table and hall table set completed. Very happy with the results.

17.01.2022 Heres a little game, find the repair. This marble mantel shelf had been broken clean in half, it had a period repair that had let go in time so the only way it could be fixed properly was to re-break it and start over. Challenge is to see if you can spot the repair before i point it out at the end.

15.01.2022 Some re-stumping required on this one prior to restoring the fireplaces.

14.01.2022 Before and after, with a one day turnaround.

14.01.2022 Just completed! A restoration of this rare art deco beauty.

13.01.2022 Some before and after pics of this weeks work. Original inserts with missing parts and awful paint were picked up, taken to get sandblasted, repaired heavily, manufactured+original parts fitted, painted and polished with graphite paste.

13.01.2022 Toasted marshmallows on an otherwise cool night, thats what a fireplace is all about.

13.01.2022 Another beautiful original insert saved from the bin and restored, this one destined for ebay.

11.01.2022 Before and after bottom grill and firebrick replacement.

10.01.2022 Just finished some bookcases in time for Christmas.

09.01.2022 This may seem a very odd way to build up a marble fireplace but for the french ones its the only way to get everything to line up correctly. I put it all together upside down, then glue and reinforce certain parts together before taking it apart again to do the final install. Try putting it together any other way and you’ll probably end up in tears,

08.01.2022 3 fireplaces just needed the hearths retiled so for the best results i carefully removed the mantels and cast iron inserts, broke up the old hearths, layed a sand cement base, returned the next day to lay the new tiles and replace the inserts/mantels.

05.01.2022 Hi all, had a bit of a break through illness but back on deck now! I’ll be continuing to take social distancing very seriously but very happy to service all the needs of the public with great quality locally made products. Stay safe everyone.

04.01.2022 Merry Christmas to you and your families from Ageless fireplaces.

01.01.2022 A couple of fireplaces from this week.

01.01.2022 2 recent restorations. Doing lots of restoration work now that i’m not permitted to do any domestic work in peoples homes. I’m lucky i can at least do this type of work and just stay afloat. Stay safe everyone.
