20.01.2022 NTG job application tip from me: It's always a great idea to check with the contact person for the position if there is a person already acting in the role. Often, the person acting in the role is earmarked for the position, so it's always a good idea to check that this is not the case first up. :)

Once again I’d like to thank you for the time and effort which you had put into my resume. Very much appreciated.

15.01.2022 Great news! After some time applying for the same sort or roles, a client I'd never worked with enlisted my assistance with their resume, cover letter and selection criteria. Unbeknownst to my client, when they submitted the application I created for them, they discovered the employer closed the applications early. That said, the employer accepted my client's application. Not only that, my client was immediately short-listed upon consideration of the application and invited to an interview which is happening TODAY! All the very best to my client and it just goes to show that all-too-often, it's not you but the RESUME, that's getting in the way of success!

07.01.2022 Resume Tip of the Day: Think carefully about your achievements in each of your recent roles. The majority of people simply list their key duties, but the fact is: that's boring! To differentiate yourself from other candidates, detail your achievements. This includes mentioning for instance any promotions, instances of acting in higher duties, being delegated additional tasks like training staff, completing a qualification, etc. Make the effort to stand out and resist the temptation of doing what everybody else does.
