05.01.2022 Yesterday I went for a Sunday sketch walk with some of my sketchy buddies. Exploring the back streets of Northbridge and of course eating places too (morning tea and lunch were a requirement of our sketchwalk). Just from wandering around we learnt a bit about the history of Northbridge, the old buildings and old houses from friendly residents in the area. While we sketched the old substation and malting house, we met an artist who talked about his abstract art, Egyptian technology and the beauty of projecting your thoughts on canvas! A fun an interesting day!!
03.01.2022 Another sketch walk adventure. Bus and train ride to Fremantle and then a wander around the iconic Fremantle markets, the watercolour society art exhibition at the Italian club, and a street wander. Getting rained on whilst sketching really defined the true meaning of watercolour urban sketching . Ok I might have exaggerated, I got drizzled on, ....sprinkled!!
