25.01.2022 The P&C wishes to inform the school community that the uniform shop will remain closed for the rest of 2020. This was not an easy decision for us to make and we look forward to reopening again in 2021 If you wish to purchase sports caps, cooking aprons and caps or a poly cotton jumper please contact us at [email protected]
25.01.2022 Tell Them From Me surveys are used by schools to collect valuable feedback from students, parents and teachers about learning, teaching and wellbeing. Tell Them From Me surveys are conducted each year and the information collected is used to evaluate whole school programs. The 2020 Tell Them From Me Parents and Caregivers Survey is now available. The survey will be open to all AGHS families until Friday 25 September (end of Term Three). To complete the survey, please go to: h...ttp://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/aghs2020TTFM The survey typically takes 15 minutes and is conducted entirely online through a secure website operated by the survey developers, The Learning Bar. You can complete the surveys on desktop computers, laptops, ipads, tablets and smartphones. Participation in the Parent and Caregiver survey is optional. Whilst your responses are very much appreciated, if during the survey, you feel uncomfortable, you can stop the survey at any time. The majority of questions in the survey can be skipped.
22.01.2022 Whoops! A reminder post just went up about our next meeting and AGM. This was in error. The April meeting will NOT be going ahead due to the pandemic. Sorry for the bum steer, everyone!
22.01.2022 Due to the recent weather, AGHS currently has no power. Regular programs will be interrupted. Year 8-10 sport has been cancelled. At this stage, phone lines are not operational. Please assist us to ensure the safety of all children.
21.01.2022 The Secret Ingredient is returning to AGHS in 2020. The first session will be on 25 March. Please see image for details of how to book.
21.01.2022 Due to COVID and the measures that the School has put in place for Depatment of Education has in place in regards to parents onsite the P&C has been decided to postpone our August meeting. We hope that our meetings can be held later in the school year, but this will depend on advice received from the School, NSW Health and the NSW Dept of Education. We will continue to work with the School Executive and provide any assistance for families who may require it.... Once we know when it is safe to go ahead, we will advertise the new date via email and here on our Facebook page.
20.01.2022 Do you thrive on FaceBook? Are you a dedicated user? Do you have time to join us and take on management of our FaceBook page? The secretary (who currently manages it) freely admits that she has no clue what shes doing, so we would love someone who is a dedicated user to take it over. Responsibilities would include posting notifications of our monthly meetings, sharing posts from the Schools FaceBook page to ensure they reach the widest possible audience, and responding to queries via Messenger as needed. The ability and willingness to take charge of the limited events we run each year would be an added bonus, but isnt essential. If you are interested, please email [email protected] or get in touch via Messenger.
18.01.2022 Google Group Admin Wanted The P&Cs email accounts and files are handled via a Google Group. The secretary has held this role since the last Admin left, around 4 years ago. Responsibilities include checking admin mail, managing the email addresses (including password resets when people change), occasional help with the Wix website, and trouble-shooting for the group as needed. Ideally you have prior Google Group Admin experience, but its not essential. You MUST BE comfortabl...y computer literate to handle this role. You do not need to hold a committee position as well, but an occasional appearance at meetings would be helpful (or at least be active on email). It is not a high workload position. If this sounds appealing to you, please email [email protected] or via Messenger. Please note, this is a voluntary position for the P&C, not a paid position, so were looking for a parent/guardian of a student to take it on.

04.01.2022 Today is a good reminder to all of us to reach out to friends and family and ask Are you ok? and share the challenges we are facing with each other. This year has been particularly hard, with the uncertainty, isolation and changes to life feeling overwhelming for all of us at times. World Suicide Prevention Day and R U OK Day remind us to reach out to those who are doing it tough, but also for those of us who arent doing so great, that it is ok to ask for help.
