08.01.2022 In certain situations, an effective way of reducing the risk of living amongst large trees, is to install a tree-brace, or system of bracing. The type of bracing system we installed in this multi-stemmed Forest Red Gum, allows the tree to continue to grow and move with the wind. However, if one of these stems was to fail during a high-wind event, the bracing system will inhibit it from reaching the ground, as it will be supported by each neighbouring stem linked to a central... anchor-ring. Not an application for every tree, but an excellent way of helping retain mature trees in the urban landscape, whilst reducing the risk to life and property. And that’s pretty cool Matt.
