25.01.2022 AgKonect has made some big steps with our client Pure Gold Pineapples. We've prototyped their scheduling dashboard, their farm maps are nearly finished and loaded. Soon the 16 growers will be entering data directly and we will fully automate what is currently a highly manual data process. This will have big payoffs for operations management and marketing. #MakingItForQLD #getbackyourweekend

22.01.2022 A year ago today, my business partner Barry Sullivan and I headed off to Denmark for the FoodTrack accelerator by Maersk-Rockstart. We had been selected with nine other startups to learn how to do "this", beginning with unlearning our old ways. What a year it has been since - pitching co-invested pilots to potential clients and figuring out where was the Blue Ocean and Red Ocean (clear water, vs. our blood). A year later, we have noticed a shift - our clients are telling others, and people are now asking us to talk to them. An exciting year is ahead for AgKonect.

21.01.2022 What do you think of this as our new logo, compared with the old one.

21.01.2022 AgKonect is busy preparing to attend evokeAG in Melbourne, 18-19 Feb. If youre attending, please visit us at Stall 25 in Startup Alley. Barry Sullivan, Peter Whittle

20.01.2022 AgKonect is excited to be visiting the Philippines, from 2-9 March. We have been invited to join a team that is building information systems for a couple of clients. They have identified that the mobility tools in Konect will provide high added value to their project ... more to come. While in the Philippines, we are seeking meetings with the government quarantine bureau, and with the banana and sugarcane industries, which we know well. Please get in touch if you want to discuss this.

16.01.2022 This is a screenshot of AgKonects app for field surveillance of olives. Pete attended the international Xylella symposium in November 2017 in Palma, Mallorca. He took the opportunity to ride a bike around the countryside and inspect olive trees, as a way to pilot the surveillance app. Verdict - its fantastic!

16.01.2022 Barry made a little demo video of how he uses Konect for monitoring banana leaf diseases in the industry. We would really appreciate feedback from our friends. If you have 6 minutes to spare, wed love to get your comments, please.

15.01.2022 Barry and I are in this for the fun - we get pleasure from making our clients happy. Here we were celebrating starting our contract with Isis Productivity Ltd (sugarcane field services) and making our Mango clients work easier and better with their pest surveillance system.

15.01.2022 Our friends will know we love cycling and farming - you can combine the two! Farming is hard work, but reliance on motorised transport is not so good for fitness. Assisted pedaling could help. Cheaper too - especially if you grow your own bananas, favourite cycling fuel.

14.01.2022 We are excited to announce that AgKonect is a finalist in EvokeAg 2020s Startup Alley, in Melbourne in February. This is an incredible opportunity for us to display what we do in front of an international audience gathering to look at innovation in agriculture. evokeAG

10.01.2022 2020 vision for AgKonect - today we signed with a great company, Tropical Pines, to rebuild their management system and advance it on our modern IT platform. ...Back in 2017, leading NZ company Seeka bought Konect to create a system to manage 600 farms - and showed us how it could be done. Tropical Pines will use AgKonect to manage 16 pineapple farms from production in the field, through to market. Barry and I are celebrating a great way to finish 2019.

09.01.2022 AgKonect is excited to be working with Marine Algae Products, providing them with an AgKonect data system for managing seaweed farming, processing and supply chain, at their farm near Davao, Philippines. Seaweed is a sunrise industry that has great potential to meet different market needs and provide a living to many people. Marine Algae is using our system to help organise what is usually an undeveloped subsistence industry into one that is able to meet larger market orders. More to come ... please have a look at the great work Marine Algae is doing. Marine Algae Products

09.01.2022 AgKonect had a very good day today. First, a new client accepted our proposal to build them a system for mobile CRM and research, immediate start. Then, a leading international agronomist told us that there are no platforms that can create a custom farm management system for a larger business, such as we can, and requested a proposal. How good is that?

06.01.2022 AgKonect has been making big strides in our sugarcane work. Our projects with Isis Productivity Ltd (cane productivity services) and Tully Sugar Ltd (cane transport maintenance) have been making big differences to these businesses. We are taking the products to market and my old friend Tony Blatch has joined AgKonect as an Associate, to lead our sugarcane marketing. Tony has a long history in sugarcane agronomy and farming, and currently owns and operates a turf farm at Eumundi. AgKonect welcomes Tony on board for this fantastic journey we are on. Contact us at [email protected] to find out more.

04.01.2022 https://agkonect.com Dear friends of AgKonect We have spent almost a year since our beginning in November 2017, developing our knowledge, capability and products. We havent shared much of that journey to date (blogs to follow). First, we wanted to be able to express more clearly what we do and why. We have reached that point now, and have posted a shiny new website that is much more informative from our single page we posted in Week One. Please go have a look, and give us so...me helpful feedback. We feel great about AgKonects future - lots of fun ahead, helping people with their data pain. Thanks for your friendship. 02.01.2022 AgKonect is thrilled to be working with Di West and Suncoast Harvest strawberry farm. We are building them a farm management system, with the key objective of taking paperwork out of the system. Compliance with food safety and regulatory standards is a core value, but the paperwork is a major load for farm businesses, in direct costs and emotional stress. AgKonect can digitise these processes, so data is collected straight into an app in the field, and is automatically processed into a workflow and reports with easy auditing. Savings start to accrue immediately and the investment is paid off quickly.

02.01.2022 AgKonect offered a paper to the Australian Biosecurity Symposium and we are excited to have been accepted for an oral presentation - "Industry-based field surveillance for biosecurity and export". The paper is based on our work in the banana and mango industries, which is catching attention of other horticultural industries. Please get in touch if you would like to know more. Here is our abstract: http://tinyurl.com/y6leaejt https://www.biosym.com.au/
