17.01.2022 Agnes Water Pharmacy Junior Aquathlon News! Entries and briefing notes for our junior aquathlon are now available on our website, https://www.agneswatertriathlon.com/aquathlon Whist we will be taking registrations for the aquathlon on race day Saturday 3rd of October, online registration is our preferred method. Entry fee is just $10.00 per child and includes a latex swim cap to be worn during the event. ... Many thanks to the Agnes Water Pharmacy and M1 Cycles in Gladstone, who’ve provide two TREK mountain bikes for us to give away as random draw prizes each valued at around $600. One each to be won by a boy and a girl. Everyone who finishes will receive a medal, and whilst the emphasis is on fun and participation winners of each age category will be acknowledged and awarded a small trophy. There will be some yummy treats for all after the event, and everyone who completes the course will go into the draw for the bikes. 15.01.2022 Rushy’s Bicycle Servicing We’re very fortunate to have our very own bike mechanic right here in Agnes Water. Rushy’s been servicing bikes for over 20 years and looks after many of the regions triathlon TT, mountain and road bikes. Rushy has donated a voucher to the value of $125.00 and will also donate some other random draw prizes for us to give away at this year’s Agnes Water Triathlon! Rushy will be set up in Tom Jeffery Park on Saturday afternoon (during the aquathlon) ...from 1.00pm and from 6.00am on race morning. Our age group winners were; Boys U10 Baylin McKay Girls U10 Ashley Jones Boys U14 Max O’Brien... 10.01.2022 Agnes Water Triathlon would like to pass on a message from the athlete whom had a medical emergency during our event on Sunday. Greg Messer is resting in hospital for a few days whilst undergoing a series of tests. He wishes to thank all the first responders who were involved, and says that he was in good hands. 09.01.2022 The Annual General Meeting of Agnes Water Triathlon Inc. will be held on Wednesday 13th January 2021 at 5.30 pm at Drift & Wood Restaurant, Sandcastles Resort, Captain Cook Drive, Agnes Water. For restaurant Covid-19 compliance please advise Garry Coleborn 0429 050 958 if you are attending the meeting. Also advise if you are nominating for any position. 02.01.2022 Looking for something fun for the kids to do this school holidays? How about entering them in the Agnes Water Pharmacy Junior Aquathlon? To be held on Saturday 3rd October from 1.00pm, the aquathlon consists of a run/swim/run event. Kids from 7 up to under 14 can participate. 7 to 9 year olds do a 250M run, followed by a 100M swim/wade, and finishing with another 250M run.... 10 to under 14 year olds do a 1 klm run, followed by a 200M swim, and finishing with another 1 klm run. The event is all about participation and having fun. All finishes receive a medallion. There are yummy treats for the kids following the event. And every child who participates, has a chance to win one of TWO, TREK mountain bikes (retail price of $579 each). One bike will be given away to a boy and a girl, on a random draw basis.
