23.01.2022 Today is R U ok day. About 10 years ago or so I was on Bondi beach spelling it out with a great bunch of people. It was fun. It was social. And also a bit cool. This year obviously is different. I haven’t been to Bondi this year - let alone gather with hundreds of people. Throughout this enormous uphill battle the year has been so far, looking after your friends, family, loved ones AND Yourself has been difficult no doubt. But this year more than ever it’s important that we d...o just that. We’re going through changes and circumstances that are unprecedented so be easy on yourself. It’s ok. You’re not supposed to do it all by yourself. Reach out via the great technology we have. Friends and family that are still in lockdown. Make it a thing. 10.01.2022 Working away on my Waverley 9x5 landscape art price entry. The Small wooden panel is actually a really nice size to paint on. Surface is super smooth and the paint just loves it. 04.01.2022 Do you imagine stories when you see a painting? I sometimes make them up as I draw them. To set the scene - to give it a back story. Here is a old church cemetery on top of a hillside. I see a woman with a red head scarf - (one of those from the 1970s - my Mum used to wear them all the time). She’s scurrying along as the fog sets over the old headstones and the rusting wrought iron fences. A strange and eerie light falls over the trees and the top of the bell tower.
