24.01.2022 Council are ticking off the to-do list at Aspendale Gardens Sports Ground. New sporting fields New car park Path and basket-ball half-court renewal works Reinstating the picnic shelter. Council also listened to the requests of residents for lighting along the path from Tarongo Drive to Aspendale Gardens (Kerr Crescent and Nurten Parade) for pedestrians and cyclists at night to be incorporated into the Stage 2. Further consultation earlier this year confirmed that war...m lighting to minimise the impact on wildlife and residential amenity, operational from sunset to 9:30pm was the preferred option. Works to install the new path lighting will commence in mid-November. Works to establish the electrical substation required to support the new sporting infrastructure are anticipated to be completed by the end of December 2020. Construction of the new pavilion is expected to commence in early-mid 2021. For any further enquiries please contact Council’s Sport and Recreation Team via phone on 1300 653 356 or email at [email protected]. You can also visit kingston.vic.gov.au/AGSR for project updates.
