This table can be useful in making better decisions on how much of which product needs to be applied to supply 1 unit of N per day. 10.01.2022 Most conventional soil test’s don’t consider and don’t measure soil magnesium levels correctly. This work by Mengutay et al. 2013 shows magnesium’s role in heat stress tolerance. Since the start of business in 2009 Agrimilk Consulting only utilises the Kinsey/Albrecht soil analysis from Perry Agriculture Labs based in the US state of MO. The science of this analysis is repeatable and magnesium levels are considered in terms of base saturation percentages and not ratios.

06.01.2022 For those considering (EOB) Enhanced oxygen barrier plastic sheeting for silage this year. Work by Robinson et al, 2016 highlights: Thin inner plastic films with enhanced oxygen barrier (EOB) properties are recognized by some agencies as a mitigation of silage deterioration. In large maize silage piles, underlay film with or without EOB properties had no impact on silage fermentation through 6 mo post pile building. In another pile, silage deterioration to a 25.4 cm depth... occurred behind the exposed silage face, but was not impacted underlay film. In another pile, surface spoilage occurred behind the exposed silage face, and moved into the pile at a similar rate as silage face removal.
