The camp draft, steer riding and all cattle events ...are cancelled, but folks are having fun regardless. Officially opening the show, Mr B.A. Wright, President of the NSW Graziers Association, said, "None of us in our lifetime will forget the 1965/66 drought, which has brought out the spirit and resilience of country people." Interesting note: the organisers posted boundary riders to make sure no one gained entry by jumping the fence!
