13.01.2022 For those of you interested in how the newly installed machines have help create better quality grain, below is a brief explanation on how they operate. HYDRATORS The Hydrators we have installed are designed to provide high levels of moisture. The use of vibration to provide exceptional water dispersion is combined with slow stirring and a long dwell time to ensure absorption for up to 8% moisture. The grain leaving the machine has the required absorption to eliminate any bi...n discharge/storage problems. POLISHERS Polishes the scratches out of split peas to help create retail quality Chana. The machine consists of a horizontal roller, surrounded by a screen. Pulses are passed via feeding hopper between a screen and leather roll removing excess dust coated on the grain and any imperfections. Because of lower rpm of the machine it gives the result of a glossy shine and also helps retain protein. #AgrocorpInternational #satakeaustralia

07.01.2022 As a crop, the pea has risen and fallen in popularity, but today everyone seems to agree that it checks the box against the biggest problems plaguing the Earth: climate, food and health. Peas, in the legume family, do everything wheat, corn and soy don’t. They require less water, are drought tolerant, reduce the need for nitrogen fertilizers because they take nitrogen gas from the air and store it in their roots, and make an ideal candidate for crop rotation. Worried about GMO peas? They don’t exist outside the lab. Want to avoid allergens? You’re probably good there too; allergies are rare too. Protein consumption is on the rise. From 2000 to 2018, global protein consumption increased by 40%.
