24.01.2022 As the largest seed potato producer in Australia we provide very large quantities of certified seed potatoes to a range of agribusinesses from small farms to large producers and processors. After numerous requests we can now offer the home gardener an option to purchase our high quality seed year round. Available in 1kg and 5kg bags we deliver across Australia (except WA). We have a few varieties already available on our website with the remainder coming into stock over the next 3 weeks as we complete our harvest. #seedpotatoes #homegrownpotatoes #potatoes #homegrown #veggiegarden #gardening #gardenlife #growyourownfood #vegetablegarden #ediblegarden #growwhatyoueat #instagardeners #greenthumb #veggiepatch #gardeningaustralia #livingsustainably

23.01.2022 The harvest is going well, even with the rain we have had over the past few weeks. Our coolstore is filling fast. We have Russet Burbanks and Atlantics in stock now online for home gardeners . I've heard that Barry (our amazing field manager) is moving into our fresh variety paddocks later next week. https://www.agronico.com.au//buy-certified-seed-potatoes-/ ... #potatofactory #seedpotatoes #farming #farmlife #tasmanianpotatoes #tassiegrown #tasmanianagrictulture #seedpotatoes #homegrownpotatoes #potatoes #homegrown #veggiegarden #gardening #gardenlife #growyourownfood #vegetablegarden #ediblegarden #growwhatyoueat #instagardeners #greenthumb #veggiepatch #gardeningaustralia #livingsustainably See more

22.01.2022 We are still harvesting. Only a few paddocks left. The unseasonal rain has made harvesting difficult this year. #seedpotatoes #tasmanianpotatoes #rainyautumn #almostdone

18.01.2022 Why should I buy certified seed potatoes? Because certified seed potatoes have to meet very high standards of freedom from viruses and soil borne diseases. Certification ensures the propagation of high yielding, high quality seed lines, and is essential for the maintenance of a sustainable potato industry.... It limits the build-up of diseases within seed lines and allows the movement of seed potatoes across state and national boundaries See more

18.01.2022 Our La Ratte seed potatoes have arrived from the paddock. In stock now. But get in quick - they are one of our most popular #seedpotatoes #homegrownpotatoes #tassiegrown #veggiegarden #larattepotatoes #growyourownfood

18.01.2022 We are receiving some fantastic images from our home gardeners. Keep sending them in. The first image is a Russet Burbank and the second a crop of Kipflers #seedpotatoes #veggiegarden #veggiepatch #russetburbank #kipfler #growyourown

12.01.2022 Growing fresh potatoes straight from your own vegetable garden can be very satisfying. At Agronico we prepare the ground for large hectares of potatoes, but our ground prep can be followed in the home garden. Remove all the weeds and dig the site thoroughly and deeply, lifting out large stones and incorporating plenty of well-rotted organic matter and high-potash fertiliser a few months prior to planting.... Your plot should be in full sun on fertile and well drained soil. Potatoes don't like to sit in wet soil. Never grow potatoes in the same soil to avoid disease and always buy certified seed potatoes. Most states can start planting now, but if you're in a frost-prone area wait until the last threat of frost is over. See more

06.01.2022 Our final paddock of Russet Burbank were harvested yesterday. Unfortunately there is more rain expected for the next few days, so the team will get some rest before getting back into the final few paddocks next week. #potatofactory #seedpotatoes #farming #farmlife #tasmanianpotatoes #tassiegrown #tasmanianagrictulture #seedpotatoes #homegrownpotatoes #potatoes #homegrown #veggiegarden #gardening #gardenlife #growyourownfood #vegetablegarden #ediblegarden #growwhatyoueat #instagardeners #greenthumb #veggiepatch #gardeningaustralia #livingsustainably

06.01.2022 Desiree has just been added to our online shop. The Desiree Potato is a great all-rounder. These versatile potatoes have waxy pink-red skin and creamy yellow flesh. Desiree potatoes have a firm, creamy tasting flesh making them ideal for smooth mash. Desiree potatoes are also ideal for making Gnocchi. 01.01.2022 One of the first varieties the team have harvested this year is the Russet Burbank. Russet Burbanks are used in the processing industry for french fries but also are great for baking and mashing. Russet Burbanks are a great variety for storing and will remain dormant for 4-5 months. We will have some available for ordering shortly in quantities over 1 tonne for our agri businesses and farmers and in bags of 1kg & 5kg for the home gardeners. #potatofactory #seedpotatoes #farming #farmlife #tasmanianpotatoes #tassiegrown #tasmanianagrictulture #seedpotatoes #homegrownpotatoes #potatoes #homegrown #veggiegarden #gardening #gardenlife #growyourownfood #vegetablegarden #ediblegarden #growwhatyoueat #instagardeners #greenthumb #veggiepatch #gardeningaustralia #livingsustainably
