The Membership Services Position is predominately a sales role, marketing training courses and events to Agsafe members and the Agvet Chemical Industry via phone and email. Some administration of the training events will be required. The position is supported by a permanent part-time Administration Support Officer three days a week. 25.01.2022 Agsafe Offers Additional Online Training Options During COVID-19 Restrictions. ----------------------------- As an industry, Australias agriculture, primary production and food systems, including all agribusiness and farming input industries, and their respective supply chains, have been declared essential as we face the challenges of COVID-19.... These industries will not be shut down and their employees and service providers who are required to travel interstate are eligible to do so for the purposes of work. For this reason, Agsafe are increasing our online training programs for those in the industry that wish to continue their professional development during the current restrictions placed on employers. We understand businesses are facing many challenges at the moment; however, we are also aware of the importance of providing a pathway for continued industry learning where time and resources allow. Agsafe have increased the number of webinars available for the Agvet Chemical Supplier Course, as well as providing webinars for both Transport of Dangerous Goods, and the agronomist specific Farm Chemicals and the Environment course. On behalf of the Freshcare board I am pleased to announce the appointment of Benjamin Wash, said Freshcare Chair Allan Dall.... The newly-created role ensures Freshcare is equipped and resourced to deliver on its continued commitment to be Australias leading certification for Australian Horticulture. The appointment comes as Freshcares participating business numbers from across horticulture continue to grow. It is critically important that Freshcare and the Freshcare team has strong leadership and support as we manage this growth, Mr Dall said. Mr Wash joins Freshcare following successful finance and leadership roles across government, the not-for-profit sector and industry, including as former CEO of Taxi Council QLD. With the recent floods across New South Wales and Queensland, many farmers that store agvet chemicals will have been impacted. During flooding chemical containers can be damaged and become unidentifiable. CropLife Australia's agricultural stewardship subsidiary, Agsafe, provides a service to safely collect and dispose of these chemicals through the ChemClear program. Agsafe General Manager, Do...minique Doyle, said, "ChemClear enables the removal of obsolete chemicals off farms and out of rural communities and allows farmers to dispose of these unwanted products safely and sustainably; this is particularly pertinent during events such as floods and bushfires."
