23.01.2022 Just a few recent Canbus Translator boards for Subaru, Nissan and Ford systems as well as some plug in BRZ/86 translator. Unfortunately we have experienced some delays in receiving these wire in versions from the PCB manufacturer due to a shortage on a few tiny parts due to everything that is going on at the moment with the virus. We received a batch of 30 last week (pictured) and should have these optioned, programmed and tested this coming week. There is also another batch ...of plug and play BRZ/86/FRS converters in production and these should arrive in a couple of weeks. There are also some delays in shipping times both domestic and international shipments due to the lower number of air traffic options worldwide. 20.01.2022 This video shows the same EZ36 engine running stand alone as we have shown previously, however we have now added the wiring to control the 5speed automatic transmission. Running a few modifcations and testing to ensure it can be converted to 2WD with the reversed R&P. Also watch to the end... A canbus engine management system with no cluster or body computer! This is part of the immobiliser delete we are working on as well as a few upcoming products to make late model Subaru ...engines an easy conversion into VWs, potentially halving harness conversion time (and therefore cost) and making the install quicker, easier and neater. AGT Engineering has been doing wiring harnesses for Subaru covnersions into VW's for 20years and are the most advanced wiring harness converter in the world. We don't focus on one particular model, instead we provide services from 30year old EJ22 conversions all the way to current model FA/FB/EZ and EE Diesel into any type of VW, buggy, kitcar or race car. We also do loom merges for either later model or Turbo/H6 engines into older vehicles or upgrading the standard N/A engines. Finally we also do full vehicle harnesses from headlight to tail light, using Subaru wiring and electrical components (inlcuding fuseboxes). Front engine, rear engine or mid engine configurations are all possible.

19.01.2022 We like getting involved in high-tech engine conversions and when this Tesla 85D was spotted at the Salvage Auctions it was hard to resist as a donor/R&D car for a customer wanting to do an electric dune buggy build! It's only early days and the scope of how much we use from the Tesla in the buggy is yet to be determined. One thing for sure, it is going to be cool, quiet and quick!

18.01.2022 The last wiring loom for 2020 completed. This one was a loom merge. An 06 EJ255 turbo from a Forester XT into a gen3 Liberty main harness. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. We will be returning after the new year with a few new products and services, including a new workshop.



16.01.2022 Our LS to BRZ/GT86 mount kit is just about ready. After selling wiring/Canbus solutions for this conversion for over three years and assisting many people with their builds within Australia, we recognised there was a need to assist mechanically. There are a number of sources in the USA for engine mount kits. They seem to work fine in the USA (which is left hand drive), however those that have imported from the USA seem to have various fitment issues, even with kits advertised... as being RHD compatible. These kits use standard LS3 engine mount brackets so the mounts are in the exact same spot as GM intended for the ultimate weight distribution. The quality Whiteline mount rubbers are down low to maximise exhaust header options and won't suffer heat degradation. Using the oem GM brackets, accessories such as the standard AC compressor fits in the standard location without any modifications. The gearbox mount, to suit the TR6060 has been re-designed as a 3piece, allowing the box to be removed easier with the side brackets either bolted or welded to the tunnel. There is adjustabity in the mounts to allow the engine to be adjusted north/south and also spaced to fine tune the height. Mounts will be available as a DIY flat pack kit, using laser cut and machine folded pieces which interlock into each other like a 3D jigsaw puzzle. This will allow further customisation if need be and will save a few $$$. You will therefore need to weld the pieces together and paint them. We will also offer a complete fully welded and painted kit using a purpose built construction jig. We are electrical guys, so have to outsource this welding to a certified welder. These will be made to order. The mounts have been designed to be used with an LS1 or aftermarket front hump sump with just some minor modifications needed. DIY kit will retail for around $600AU including the whiteline engine mounts.

16.01.2022 V8 Into a Ford Ranger! Bit of a sneak peak of the Canbus Translator for the Ford Ranger conversions. This one is a PX1 with a 5.0L V8 (Coyote motor) from the current model Ford Mustang. This is a prototype translator, we are developing a plug in style translator that plugs into the original Ranger ECU plugs, and as well as doing canbus translation between the two engine types, also does the 4WD control that the original Ford Ranger ECU provided. #V8FORDRANGER #FORDRANGERCONVERSION

13.01.2022 Another shipment of brand new genuine GM LS wiring harnesses arrived from Holden today. Sold out on the LS to BRZ/GT86/FRS harnesses last week with a sudden surge and will have this batch modified and available shortly.



11.01.2022 We finally have some LS3 to BRZ/GT86/FRS engine looms in stock after depleting local GM stocks last year. These engine looms have been sourced from GM, and are OEM quality (not cheap Chinese copies). The looms have all been modified to suit the plug and play translator with the installation of the 54pin FA20 engine plug and the reverse lamp plug. Details of the loom (Australian VF Commodore L77-6ltr and LS3-6.2ltr) - To suit TR6060 Gearbox (2pin speed sensor and reverse locko...ut solenoid) - AC Gas Pressure sender plug on the loom (near AC Compressor) - AC Variable displacement compressor compatible (also works with standard compressors) - pre 2015 rear o2 sensor plug (flat 4pin) Some minor adjustments may be necessary to suit different setups (such as different gearbox, o2 sensors, LS2 engines) With this loom and plug and play translator, there is no other wiring needed to be done apart from joining the starter motor trigger (one wire - or using the FA20 wire onto the GM starter). The only other electrical item you will need is the E38 engine ECU (PCM) with an appropriate stand alone tune file. We recommend getting a local tuner to do this, as it costs credits for every different person to edit the tune file. Perfect for customers who do not have a loom with their LS3 engine, or those who do not want to modify their existing loom themselves. Looms are tested by our new "LS3-BRZ/GT86/FRS loom tester" which tests each wire is correctly terminated into the FA20 plug and tests for open/shorts for each wire. Introductory price for the LS3 wiring loom and translator is $1400AU (approx $900US).

11.01.2022 This is a video explaining the use of the BRZ/GT86/FRS electric power steering setup that can be used in a different vehicle, or used within the BRZ/GT86/FRS. The Canbus Emulator allows the steering system to work stand alone, required when used in a different vehicle, or for custom applications withint the BRZ/GT86/FRS, or with conversions where the required signals are no longer present. The Canbus Emulator comes in four different versions: 1) Canbus Emulator with automatic... varying assist via an external speed pulse or speed sensor. 2) Canbus Emulator with manual controlled variable assist via an on board potentiometer. 3) Canbus Emulator with manual controlled variable assist via an external dash mounted dial (dimmer mechanism) that clips into a vacent slot in the factory dash next to the dash lamp dimmer dial. 4) Emulator without the vehicle speed emulation (used if your BRZ/GT86?BRZ speedometer still works, and you just need the engine Canbus Emulation without going to a full Canbus Translator) Price is $330AU, including worldwide shipping. 10.01.2022 Saw this 2010 Subaru Outback diesel for sale in Southern NSW for a good price. Thought it would be fantastic for someone wanting to do a diesel conversion in their VW. You will probably need to join the group to contact the seller (Subaru Cars & parts NSW official).

08.01.2022 The Subaru interface box as an all in one interface comprising of all the fuses, relays, connectors, diagnostics indicators lamps and even an onboard OBDII diagnostic port. It is designed to replace all the loose modules, relays and connectors and house them all in one enclosure. The interface box also incluses fuses and radiator fan relays, eliminating the needs to install extra hardware to run these components. The interface box also includes add on options such as a Canbu...s emulator, fuel system emulator and variable speed fuel pump emulator (for 02+ turbo and H6 engines). "Test Mode" and "Read Memory" subaru connectos are replaced with opn-board toggle switches. A 3rd toggle switch selects between constant OBDII power and switched OBDII power. This enables an OBDII scanner (or bluetooth module) to be able to be plugged into the OBDII port permanently without flatening the vehicle battery. Designed to work on just about all OEM Subaru EFI wiring systems, from the 1990s EJ22 all the way to current model Canbus/electronic throttle systems. The interface shaves up to several hours off the harness modification time and also simplifies and speeds up the electrical install to the vehicle. We are still completing some final testing on the first batch of units that are installed to various types of wiring harnesses. This video demonstrates the use on a late model EZ36 engine. 07.01.2022 Over the last couple of weeks we have been working on a software update on our BRZ/86/FRS Canbus Translator's, both the plug and play and the wire in versions. Increased throttle response (when using oem pedal). Faster pedal boot up to try and fix pedal errors for a few people experiencing this issue. Improved fuel consumption gauge reading response (gen4 LS)... Improved random MIL light flicker on 2017+ clusters (pictured) Extra support for the Powertune aftermarket digital dash (pictured) Added more temperature senders to the number available on the wire in translator (for non Canbus engines) Added fuel consumption estimation algorithms using engine rpm, vehicle speed and acceleration. To provide a more accurate fuel level gauge (for non Canbus engines). All new translators will run this updated software. Existing customers will also be able to update their existing translator for FREE by downloading the update from the website and updating via a PC with bluetooth. This should be uploaded on Monday.



07.01.2022 As well as providing the electrics for the LS to BRZ/GT86/FRS conversions, we are now offering adapter mounts. Specifically aimed for those in the local Australian (RHD) market. There are plenty of LHD mount kits already on the market, and although they seem to work OK for LHD, they often require extensive modifications to get them to work properly in a RHD chassis, not something you want to do after paying big $$$ purchasing and then shipping them. These mounts are aimed to ...be an affordable solution in a flatpack form. This allows flexibility of engine placement to suit your requirements. The default position allows adequate clearance to the firewall to allow HVAC hoses to be connected easily, without modifications to the tunnel to fit the TR6060 gearbox. Also uses the standard LS3 block mounts and allows the use of the standard accessories such as A/C compressor and Alternator. A front oil sump is required from an LS1 with slight clearancing at the bell housing end to clear the swaybar/crossmember, or an aftermarket front sump can be used with oil filter relocation. Mount pieces are lasercut and computer bent steel pieces, notched to provide interlocking to adjacent pieces. All that is required is some notching of the RHS pieces, welding and then painting. The Translator converts the Canbus Signals between the Ranger and the Mustang Engine Computer and allows all the factory functions to work as intended (we are however still working on getting the cruise control to work). The Translator is designed for the PX1 Ranger, however it will also be able to be used with the PX2 and maybe the PX3. Currently working on the 5L V8 Coyote motor (from the Mustang), however will also be programmed to work with Falcon V8 and 6Turbo as well as GM LS engine systems.

04.01.2022 We actually designed this a number of years ago for a 2014 WRX power steering rack and sold a few for the WRX racks and the BRZ/86/FRS columns. After a few enquiries lately, we thought we had better do a video and release some information on it. Based on the canbus emulator-mini, the emulator emulates rpm and vehicle speed to allow the electrical power steering units of the BRZ/86/FRS to work stand alone, either with engine conversions or in a totally different vehicle. The good thing with these power steering setups is that the power assist unit is in a relatively compact unit in the column (not the steering rack). This means it is good for use in retrofit older vehicles that did not come with power steeting. Modifications to the steering rack is not required, just the column.

03.01.2022 Doing some testing with the 5Speed Subaru automatic and the EZ36. Seems everyone wants the auto in their VW. We are looking at the possibility electrically and then it will be up to Subarugears to see if it can be done mechanically. Subarugears are currently testing the reversed 4speed auto that we did the wiring harness for several months back. Then we might look at the CVT Auto.
