20.01.2022 Good news and bad news Unfortunately my shipment of incredible bolga baskets has had major delays due to our world health situation and not due till late December. Like many African countries, Northern Ghana has had lock downs & strict social distancing in place making it near impossible for weavers to source their materials to be able to make their baskets and shipping is slow. The good new is I have designed a gift voucher so you can still give a basket for Christmas and yo...ur recipient can come in after Christmas to pick their favourite one or purchase on-line via socials or my Website and have their gift posted out. You can purchase vouchers in store or contact me (gail) and I can send your voucher in the mail. I have 100's of baskets on order and their are so many other styles available now in store. Of course you can use your gift voucher for anything in my range The Veranda. Slow also has a gift voucher that can be used on anything in the store. Thank you gail x See more

Grab one today and I'll see you at this brand new market later this evening. gail Starting tonight!!! ... Farmers at Burrill (FAB) will become your go-to source of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood and dairy products. It’s delicious food produced and harvested by local farmers at the latest possible moment, so that you get to experience the pure taste of sun ripened tomatoes, the special aroma of just-picked stone fruit and the salty, creamy taste of just-shucked oysters. FAB is a new project for the Ulladulla Milton Lions Club to support our local community, our visitors and, of course, our farmers. These are summer time twilight markets only, and you’ll find them at the magnificent Lions Park at Burrill Lake between 5 and 7pm every second Friday night between November the 6th this year and February the 26th. Make sure you get down to support this fabulous initiative. Grab some delicious local food, hang out at beautiful Burrill and soak up the scenery and serenity at the same time. 04.01.2022 The Past 'The reason is over two million years old but is more easily referenced to the settlement of Australia 60,000 to 70,000 years ago. It was then that humans first arrived in Australia. There were about 1000 of them and that they arrived about the same time. There were the first ocean mariners in the history of the world. They arrived in a bountiful land filled with creatures of unimaginable numbers, shapes and sizes. People settled widely and quickly over broad sav...annah, harsh deserts and temperate coasts until the reached the southern sub-Antarctic shores of their new land. Their technology was advanced and their economy was responsive. They were driven by a unique spirituality and an artistic inclination that stood them apart from all others at that time. The first Australians were the first to believe in the afterlife and to conduct rituals in veneration of the dead. They made ancient jewellery; shells coated with ochre and blood as if the decorative self was synonymous with the spirit. They painted from earliest times in shades of charcoal, red, yellow and white. They painted on rock walls until those walls grew into galleries throughout the savannah, the desert and coasts to the very depths of fire lit sub-Antarctic caverns. Artistic tradition expressed a triadic equation of mysticism, land and life. They painted mystical beings, elegant in motion and emotional conjunction in a pan continental ceremony that is, by measure of its vastness and wealth, the greatest gallery of art on earth. Beyond the painted galleries they engraved mystical forms that inspired social and political concord: art was, as it remains today, the unspoken voice of shared cultural values. The art of ancient commonality became the art of psychology, expressed individually through engraved archaic faces that look at us from 10,000 -m 15,000 years past. The art of the ancients speak to the existential: the person as being, people as social, the land as spirit. Art was psychological, ontological and esoteric.’ Scott Cane First Footprints: The epic story of the first Australians Art work: Reanne Nampijinpa Brown Dreamtime: Lappi Lappi Jukurrpa Location: Yuendumu N.T
