19.01.2022 'Chowey Bridge, Didcot QLD' - I did this pencil painting from one of my own photographs. The famous Chowey Bridge is located in my local region and has a wonderful history. 19.01.2022 Hi everyone. Just to let you know that my only Solo Exhibition for 2020 is a GO !! It was decided today that there will also be an official opening for the exhibition, as detailed below. I would love to see as many of my friends and family there. We have all the Covid safety features in place to make the event as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

16.01.2022 "Morning Crossing" - Back to my historical genre, I found this photo in the National Library of Australia (Copyright Expired) collection. The original photo was black and white, so I added a bit of morning light to it. Drawn using Polychromos, Luminance and Lightfast pencils on Grafix Drafting Film. Size 315x225mm. 15.01.2022 The Waifs New York circa 1888. In Australia we would call these poor unfortunates ‘Waifs’, but in the late 19th Century they were known in the USA as ‘Street Arabs’. 14.01.2022 "Franklin 1941" (Heard County, Georgia USA) Drawn from a plate glass negative with kind permission of Mr Ken Booth. I love a game of pool and it was obvious that these fellows did as well. I drew this from one of my photos I took about 20 years ago. The building has not changed that much since then. I have always been drawn to these old rustic cars and buildings, so when I saw this oldie, I just had to immortalise it in Pencil. Thanks Barrie. 04.01.2022 "Louisiana 1939" - When I first saw the original image on Pixabay, it just felt like I was falling into it. The details in the original photo were breathtaking, so I just had to draw it. This was a labour of love as it is 600 x 420 mm (24x16 inches) in size on Grafix Drafting Film. I drew this using predominantly Polychromos Cold Grey Pencils with Verithin Black. Catalogue # 451.
