25.01.2022 I love me a beautiful oracle deck. And this one was not going to miss being added to my collection. This deck from @the_angela_gallo, has given me a new love of getting them back out and playing around and asking for some guidance when I am feeling a little off path And can you just take a moment to admire the amazing artwork by @gabriellarosie!

25.01.2022 Do you have a moment? It only takes less than 10secs. x

24.01.2022 Lets be honest - maybe not be the easiest thing to give yourself a massage. But a facial massage you sure can. There are many benefits of using a facial roller, like this one Ive used daily for a few years now. It is great for lymphatic drainage and removing toxins when applied in specific directions. And can be great at relieving tension and headaches. Added bonus of helping reduced those pesky aging lines. Tip: keep in the fridge so that you can use to reduce inflammation/puffiness, also great to help penetrate your beauty products such a serums/oils. I cant wait to get my hands on a Gua Shua tool next, they really help with giving you a facelift thats non-invasive AND toxic free. My gorgeous roller is from @jaderollerbeauty

23.01.2022 Wishing you all a festive merry holidays + a fresh new year. A year of 20/20 visions. A huge appreciation to my amazing clients & to meeting new ones

23.01.2022 This stretch is my morning ritual fave. I actually do the child’s pose before I get out of bed. With a history of lower back pain and injuries, sleeping has never been 100% since. Every morning I am super stiff all over. This is the best way for me to check in with my body and see how it feels and let’s me know my limits for the day and to be aware of my movements if tighter than normal. I hold this pose for at least a minimum 2mins. Feels like a self massage for the sacrum (...tailbone) region. Try to gently lower your hips as close as you can go to the ground between your feet. You could always move hips by rolling side to side too. You should feel hopefully a lovely stretch. Remember to be gentle with yourself first thing in the morning. It’s all about slowing down and easing into the day. And maybe TMI, but it does also help adjust your bowel movements first thing, and when you place your arms resting alongside your legs by your sides. xo

22.01.2022 Ill be honest at times it has been boring. But I got to admit at times I have loved being in ISO. A time to be forced to take things slow, sit with my thoughts, and being more conscious of my surroundings, what I miss the most, like catching up with my nearest and dearest. However, it has been a blessing in disguise to be able to focus and work on a project that I hope to launch before the end of 2020. Im such a perfectionist and fearful of FKing this up, that is has taken me forever to work out what I want and it be consciously aligned with my true self in as many ways possible. Silver linings. xo

22.01.2022 October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss awareness month. A very sensitive topic. An alarming statistic of the amount of stillborns daily in Australia. If you are pregnant, and have any doubts, seek advice. x

21.01.2022 Newborn mummas? Are your bubs heading into that next phase? Another lovely workshop being held next month. Or even any professionals working with mums + bubs... this would be great to attend to up level on knowledge for supporting mums going through this developmental stage of their lil ones. Introducing babies first solids, how to start, how best to nurture gut health + reduce allergies - with so much more. Book your tickets! Ive added a link to their workshop in my bio. SEE YOU THERE!

21.01.2022 Motherhood ~ 1. The state of being a mother. 2. The qualities, characteristics or spirit of a mother. Whether a woman has the opportunity to bear a child or not, instinctually we are all innately mothers of some description. We are nurturers, carers, protectors by nature. You are no less of a woman if you decide to not have a child. Being a mother may not be your purpose in life. Maybe you are content in being the fave Aunty. ... I would love to strip down the paradigm and conversations about reclaiming what it is to be a mother, or maybe not and having resolution and reverence in that choice. xo

19.01.2022 Getting back to the decks

19.01.2022 Social distancing allows me to catch up on a lot of study/training and get into some new business planning. No excuses. Stay healthy

18.01.2022 Hi My name is Anna! Ive noticed Ive got a few new followers. A little shout out to those newbies and also to my long standing peeps Ill be upfront, Im a bit sporadic on my grid/stories, and trying to be a little better and consistent. Im not the biggest social butterfly. My posts too, might come across as random, but Im trying to share not just massage related info, but anything else that I feel is relevant and passionate to share with you. Language warning I m...ay drop F- here and there. Plus...Im not a fan of speaking and doing videos due to stage fright, so you wont see too much of that (which is a work in progress). If anything above does not align with you - Im all ok with unfollows. Although I do hope you stick around. With that said, lovely to have you here and following me. xo

17.01.2022 TWENTY 19. I listened to me. I took a leap of faith and went full-time in my business. Challenging at times, but ever rewarding thanks to my beautiful clients.... I took control & better care of my health issues that came up end of 2018, due to a toxic work environment. I worked towards becoming a postpartum doula. I came across amazing mentors and decided to invest more in my work & personal development. I deeply became aware of some issues that I still need to work through personally. I got to hang out with my closest of friends more - who I adore. Became closer to newer friends. Made new friends. I got out of my comfort zone and took myself along to some amazing events. I know there are still more masks to remove & challenge the status quo. I realise there is still much more growth & decisions to make and look forward to in 2020 #radicalrevolution #memyselfandi

16.01.2022 Palo santo clearing from the first full moon of 2020 :: Vibes are heavy. This Lunar Eclipse in Cancer will be sensitive, emotional, and will bring a release that will help to clear a path so we can align deeper on our soul journey. Holy mighty force of growth. This is a very emotional time on many levels, with what we are experiencing in our personal lives as well as what is going on in the collective. The healing salve at this time is the energy of the MOTHER. This Lunar E...clipse is in CANCER, the sign of the Mother. And When Pluto and Saturn have their big meeting on January 12th, asteroid Ceres, another archetype of the Mother will be right there present at the meeting. So first call to action is, we need to mother ourselves real good right now. We need to allow all our different emotions to exist, and accept everything that is coming up. Yes, its ok. All of our feelings really need to be embraced. This is a time where we are learning to re-parent ourselves. Like astrologer Timothy Halloran so beautifully expressed, we are developing new forms, new networks of internal support that allow us to be initiated into newfound levels of authority. He talks about summoning that maternal security for our own selves, and encourages us to address our inner child with words of support. It is essential that we give the MOTHER energy of Love to ourselves, perhaps in ways that we never have or have never experienced. With radical kindness, and healing energy to strengthen our foundations. This is a big moment in time right now. On a personal level it will of course be different for each of us, but essentially there might be something that will be challenging us. Most likely a situation beyond our control that will require a shift in perspective or something that needs to be released. The key is our response. We have a choice as to how we will respond and this is the turning point. Now, as we all know thats easier said than done. ~ @mysticmamma See more

15.01.2022 What this all really feels like at this present moment in time. My head is spinning, what could all this mean for my business going forward. Hoping you are all staying healthy

15.01.2022 When I was in the depths of my Fertility Massage therapy training about 4yrs ago now, it opened my eyes Such a nurturing modality to assist women with fertility, or maybe just wanting to reconnect with their womb . HOLY SHIT! Much much more was revealed!! There was so much that I didnt know about my body when it came to our cycles and hormones. Add to this possible past trauma. Yup, trauma suppressed could be an inhibitor of infertility, whether conscious or unconscious. A...nd get this you may not be your real true self emotionally, that when you get off the pill the partner you might be with - you may see in a different light due to hormones that were being masked, and from such an early stage in your teens. The types of guys you thought you were attracted to are actually not your type?! WTF. That could be confronting in itself. Upon learning about our cycle and seasons related to our cycles - at this time I had to listen to my body and that was when I decided I had to get off the pill. And let me say, there was no particular reason for being on it to start with. I am grateful I didnt have the severe acne or experienced any monthly normal (not normal) cramping. It was just a thing that was automatically prescribed when you are a teenager. So what the F did I need this for - other than the obvious birth control. But if we knew how our cycle worked we have alternative options. WHY is this not taught about in our teen years! Maybe our mothers may not even really knowing about this, or maybe wanted to avoid the topic if possible I would think in fear of promoting sexual relations , yet maybe due to not having the right information to pass on. Finally understanding what my body was designed to do, what it did monthly and being in tune with this was THE biggest hack for me...and can be for any woman with a uterus. Please listen to @alisonlarsenrice and her @offlinethepodcast with @larabriden if you want to get some more insight. Also our Aussie version of the hormone revolutionist @natkringoudis has an in-depth book about all the things called Beautiful You - a must read and a great educational tool (even for your teens) See more

14.01.2022 Another super informative workshop I had the privilege to attend to a few weeks ago, from @nutritioncollectiveaus with the lovely ladies @brownpapernutrition + @wholefoodhealing . You both hold such a beautiful space of discussion. As a yet to be mumma - heck I feel one step ahead now! No need to read all these books and confuse matters more The day was bite full size info easy to understand - especially if you are experiencing the baby brain feels. When everyone is trying ...to feed you with their best tips + add their 2cents, you should do this or you should try that. I walked away knowing that, and you should too...each baby and your circumstances are going to totally be individualistic. That next phase following postpartum nutrition. Shit what next? Can I start them on solids? When is the best time to start them? What can I give them? What about allergies? Discussed was how and when to introduce solids - Whether it purée or baby led weaning (which I totally like the idea of introducing sooner, obvs with care) that they realise and associate the purée they have been tasting with the actual whole form. Might just stop them from throwing this at you or across the room thinking & tilting their head at you with the eyes that read ummmm... mumma what heck are you thinking Ive never had this before! , yet they have - Which nutrients to include in their first foods - Foods to avoid - And ways to establish healthy gut microbiome in bubs I come away knowing and being more confident on guiding my postpartum mummas with options. Even when they question came up about So should I be making them their own foods separately and prepared in a different way that they can consume? - the great answer was Mummas, theres no need to make things harder for you then they could already be! And some great advice on how that works in day to day meal times. If you would like some lovely nutritious tips and receipes, head to Jacqueline or Brittanys accounts which I tagged above. And if you want to stay in the loop of workshops like this again for 2020 head to their account @nutritioncollectiveaus

13.01.2022 As 20/20 hurtles forward already too fast for my liking, I go down this rabbit hole of thoughts and how I am wanting to show up and how I am being called to show up. When I want to do ALL of the things, but lately get pulled in this one tangent of thought. I feel like there is a calling to have the conversations about how really serious motherhood/parenthood could be to those who are considering (or maybe not) about if that is their true purpose in life! And having some rece...nt interesting convos with a few of my closest friends about having children - has peaked my curiosities what other peoples perspectives. To be or not to be a mother? Maybe stripping back the complexities of the motherhood journey and how it is perceived? Discuss possibly why or what hurdles you are having trying to start a family? Do you have anxiety feels? Are you afraid of parenthood? Our current climate and parenthood? The pressure of what type of mother you want to be? Whatever it may be... Thank you to @the_angela_gallo for having that difficult conversation on the consumption of children, which has sparked this topic in me. To speak to/for those that are struggling with these exact questions + more. What questions or thoughts do you have?

13.01.2022 I am Pro-Choice No one has the right to make decisions for my body and what I put internally or externally, BUT MYSELF, and where I am conscious in mind/body/spirit this is my right. I will respect your choices, and in return you respect mine. I am happy to agree to disagree.... My body, my choice. Informed Choice. This is called body autonomy. Im right. Youre right. We are all right. Or we could all be wrong. I dont need to change your thoughts or beliefs. You dont need to change mine. We can learn from both sides of thoughts or beliefs, and take we we want from those.

11.01.2022 As Australians, we stick together with our mates we dont leave people behind. But there are 3.3 million Australian workers with no access to paid leave this represents 32% of all working people. I am one of those. If these workers become ill they will either attend work sick or potentially be subject to self-isolation quarantine at home without means to pay their bills. This also applies to our clients who are worried about getting sick and choose to cancel their regular... appointments. We can't wait - people are already being forced to go into quarantine and losing income. Many workers are also being forced to use their leave and some are even being stood down without pay. We are demanding that the Morrison Government guarantee two weeks paid special leave for all workers. Sign this petition to demand access to two weeks paid special leave for all workers affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19).

06.01.2022 Who am I? What am I? How am I? That shouldnt be hard to answer. But FK - it is. Do you scroll through social media and see what people with services have to offer and do you immediately trust them? That trust has to be built and nourished. Slowly by slowly I know you will trust what I have to offer in the postpartum sphere. Cause it will be beautiful, nurturing and ravenous.... My head is crazy and I have all these words to write down and have to do so instantly or I will forget. But there is this regurgitation happening - my mind I can feel expanding with the things I want to share. They may resonate, they may trigger. Im not here for everyone. Im here for me and who feel drawn to me. Being under the guidance and wings of @the_angela_gallo is unworldly. And delving into the last ever Dynamo Doula Training, which really is a doula of me training is fkn mind blowing. Soul work. Bringing back humanity in our work is paramount. Understanding who we are as people and how can we best serve our potential clients. Doing so means breaking down the conditions and adapted models taught to us. Cause it is not in your best interest that I project these unnecessarily on you, my clients. Creating a platform that makes me feel comfortable and know what doesnt. Who I am and who Im not. To strengthen my boundaries and ensure my clients feel safe, cared, loved & supported. The person you once were before moving through to motherhood is never the same once you come out from the other side. And that can be the hardest pill to swallow. You may just be a better version of you, maybe a unknown version of you, and maybe just pieces of both. Yet never the same. That can be confronting. I think having a deep understanding of who you are before these changes with an acceptance of what is to come, can help pave a smooth path to accept the new version of you. Who are you? I would love to know. And what does postpartum doula support look like and mean for you? See more

05.01.2022 If there was a time to make things slow down- this would be one of those moments in time. So many emotions right now. The isolation and social distancing does not bother me. I’m all for it. How can we use this time wisely? How can I use this to my advantage to pivot within my business and future proof it for if another world stopping scenario popped on the scene again. God forbid I fucking hope not tbh! But . Now is the time to really make the most of an unfortunate opportunity. What would you do? .. Beautiful floristry by a gorgeous friend @wildernessflowers_

03.01.2022 Postpartum nutrition can be simple or as specific as you choose. Either way it is a crucial to have the best nourishing & nutritious diet, intake or meals as possible to help you heal well in these first 40 days. ~ These first 40 days will set you up for the next 40 years ~ Many cultures have different concepts on Postpartum nutrition - all equally with amazing nutritional benefits for the newborn mother. The Indians follow their Ayurvedic elements eating mung, dahl + g...hee; most Asians countries love the use of broths; Koreans choose a beef broth + seaweed; Moroccans have the Beldi + Rfrissa dishes. I recently spoke with my mumma to understand if her country had a postpartum meal - a special corn dish. Im looking forward to learning how this is made when I travel back to East Timor in the next months. The key role of postpartum nutrition is to understand that oxytocin increases digestion + nutritional uptake. And it can also balance appetite. Which in turns means enjoying foods you eat will be essential to your healing. Being able to understand the values behind why certain foods should be consumed or avoided is a beneficial factor too. But you will find preparing these specific foods will not be high on your priority to do list in those early days when bonding with your bub. Having a meal plan, meal train set up, friends/family cooking up meals to freeze or even freezing precooked meals prior the due day, are options to consider so you know you will be getting the right nutritional benefits and not having to worry about what to eat. If your mother/grandmother experienced specific postpartum food, and they are able to speak about it ... ask them about the meals that may have been prepared for them during their birth recovery. You might be surprised that only a few generations ago this was still a common practice & our generation are not aware of this. I would love to hear all the different cultures, their traditions and versions of postpartum food for recovery. DM me or post below if you would like to share your experiences See more
