25.01.2022 No need to panic - just follow the values of Aidforce which is to PREPARE, so you can adequately RESPOND and RECOVER. There are concerns that even if there is no direct impact of one forming, any Low system or rain activity could increase the saturation for those already being impacted by recent flooding and weather patterns. Straight from the s mouth. At this stage, the Bureau of Meteorologys prediction of a Tropical Cyclone forming will go from a Low to Moderate on Tuesd...ay 13th March (20-50% probability) before returning to Low again (5 - 20%) on Wednesday. Will keep you posted as more information is realeased, and hopefully the events impacting at the moment help aid the urgency of the Memorandums of Understanding Aidforce is seeking with several organisations and the Queensland Government. What is your favourite or most helpful tip that might help others prepare for a Cyclone or Flooding? http://www.bom.gov.au/qld/forecasts/cyclone.shtml AIDR Australian Red Cross Orange Sky Australia Bureau of Meteorology RACQ #prepare #respond #recover #aidforce #queenslander #fightingforchange #resilienceawardwinner #tourismpreferredsupplier

10.01.2022 0% Redtape. 100% Member focus and operated. It would be appreciated if you could help an Aidforce Task Group to head down to the bushfires in coming weeks. We are also setting up a 1300DISASTER support and task management call-centre, as well as a full time disaster response and recovery team Australia wide. My dream would be to raise an additional $1,500,000 to build three FireKing Firetrucks to name after Samuel McPaul, Geoff Keaton and Andrew ODwyer so their legacies can... live on to save others in future Please dont forget that ALL profits from the www.helpan.com.au website and stocking of first aid kits will go to this project. So get your bosses to send in photos of your kits so we can start stocking! All media contacts can be directed to: [email protected] https://www.gofundme.com/f/let039s-raise-a-fulltime-disaste

10.01.2022 Dinner Update - Please share The awesome team at Souths Leagues Club Mackay have extended the cut off for the purchase of tickets until 4pm Monday the 8th of April as some people are still arranging rosters/ baby sitters, etc.. Full tickets, including the buffet are still $70 and are available until 4pm Monday the 8th of April. You will receive a wrist band on the night, and entry is still at 6pm. 2. For those wanting to come and celebrate without the option of a Buffet, tickets are $35 with proceeds going to the Craig McCulloch Fund through the QAS Legacy Scheme Incorporated. These tickets will be for entry at 8pm when the entertainment for the night starts, with raffle tickets still available for the draw during the first music break. A nice platter will be available to these ticket holders. Now there are no excuses to miss the night and raise some funds for Craigs Family.
