17.01.2022 Good morning everyone, a great post here from our One and Only Hanshi Patrick McCarthy on the importance of children doing any Martial Arts training. I wont go into to much as Sensei covers it so perfectly. However if you are an Adult, Child or Teenager who feels they are lacking direction, need to shed some KGs, want to learn a true Self Defence or want to come and meet some like minded people. please do not hesitate to contact us at AKJJ Southside anytime at all. Thanks for reading Sensei Dave Thompson

16.01.2022 Training in summer is always thirsty work! But remember: if you want to give it your best, youve got to prepare like you mean it... and that means drinking enough water before, during and after training. Heres a guide you might find helpful. Osu.

11.01.2022 Good afternoon students and parents Bec is one of our wonderful staff members from the Mt Gravatt PCYC. Unfortunately she has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is a single mother who has worked hard to raise two respectful and kind young boys. She has recently posted a Go Fund Me page to help assist her financially as she goes through treatment. This would be a difficult task for a couple let alone a single mother. Sensei David Thompson is asking if each of our wonderful families could donate $5 ( or more if you can) to help Bec through this difficult time. We will start fund raising for this from Monday through to Friday next week. Alternatively you can donate through Bec s Go Fund Me link which I will post in comments. Please give any donations to our hard working instructors. Thank you Everyone .

07.01.2022 Good morning everyone, I am looking at getting some new Club Polo's soon. After a chat with a great mate of mine at MND & Me Foundation Mr George Hill I am planning to get some shirts donated to us and put our Logo and MND's logo on our shirts, to show our support to this terrible and crippling disease. All Shirts purchased will be a direct donation to this organisation to help find a cure or help ease some of the pain of the families involved. We will keep the cost to a minimum but enough so we maybe make a difference to someone who is finding the going tough. We will get this going in the next few weeks, I just have to work on getting some shirts donated and we will be away. I am going to get both Adult and Kids sizes so any pre orders would certainly help in the way of numbers Please stand by Sensei Dave
