15.01.2022 HNY friends, a reminder that training in this most modern of martial arts starts this again this Tuesday. we'll be looking at controls for yokomen uchi this week. ... also, a quick note to say that it's been thirty years since tan ren dojo (black rock) opened for training. it's fair to say that tan ren dojo (castlemaine) has done our predecessors proud.

12.01.2022 Hi all. This is your soon to be replaced sensei speaking. Don't forget the first class for this new year is Tuesday 16th. More importantly my last class until at least June or July is Saturday 20th so try and make it if you can. I will miss you all !

08.01.2022 Nick from the Bachelor made a great point in a recent epiosode; "process will always beat power" he was referring to rugby. i think it applies equally well in Aikido.

07.01.2022 Very pleased to say that our weapons session this morning was a smashing success. We focused on the most basic sword cuts. The aim being to get those foundations spot-on, so as to allow better self training whilst social distancing restrictions are still in place. Weather permitting, we aim to run a weapons class every other Saturday morning. The next one is planned for Sat 13 June. ... Details to follow closer to the date. BIG thanks to Damien for the use of his personal dojo!
