25.01.2022 Tonight is the last training session of the year. Training will resume on Thursday the 7th of January. We wish you all a joyous, productive, and safe break and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.

25.01.2022 For the last few weeks we've had a few extra people. Sean is an old friend who hasn't trained with us for a while but he's back now. Hugo is trying aikido for the first time. We are glad to have both of them. If you are thinking about trying aikido for the first time, now would be a good time while we have a few more new people than usual.

25.01.2022 Hi guys, one of my very talented students Masae made me some Japanese tabi(mat shoes) to train in. If you live in cooler climate, or get sore, cracked and tired feet i recommend them. She ships worldwide...... Her online shop is https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/TheRoadie

21.01.2022 We are now allowed to train at the PCYC on Mondays again. We will start this Monday. We will have a meeting there to talk about how we will train for the rest of the year. It would be great if you could make it.

21.01.2022 We have changed out name to reflect the fact that we are no longer training on the Eastern Shore.

20.01.2022 We have a place to train! It looks like we won't be on the Eastern Shore for a while, but we will train on Thursdays and Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30 at Taroona Community Hall, Bachelor Way, Taroona. We look forward to seeing you there.

19.01.2022 Just reminding everyone that the first training session of the year will be tonight. In Japan, they would hold a ceremony known as "Kagami Biraki." We will just train, but it would be great to see everyone there.

19.01.2022 Hello everyone. It looks like we will not be able to have Saturday afternoon sessions at the Macquarie Street dojo as we had hoped, so we'll just have Thursday and Friday sessions in Taroona for now.

19.01.2022 Here is the demonstration from when our chief instructor, Peter Kelly, was inducted to the Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Most demonstrations were from Peter with a few special guests.

17.01.2022 Hi everyone. The first training session for the year will be on Thursday the 7th of January at the usual time and place. We look forward to seeing everyone bright and bushy tailed after the break. The national seminar is still scheduled to go ahead from the 22nd to the 24th of January at the Rokeby Police Academy. However, we are monitoring the COVID situation on the mainland and we will respond accordingly if things get out of control.

17.01.2022 We're getting settled into our new premises. It has been great to see everyone. We're training Thursday and Friday nights at the Taroona community centre.

17.01.2022 Hello everyone. We have received word that the Police Academy will be unavailable until 1 May due to the COVID-19 situation. While we have not received any word from the PCYC, we will cancel all classes until further notice out of an abundance of caution. We hope everyone keeps well, and we will keep you informed of any updates as soon as we can. -Robin

05.01.2022 Training is back in full swing. Mitsuki still had a bit of energy at the end of last night's class.

02.01.2022 Hello everyone. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there will be no more classes at the PCYC. Peter and Paul are still working on finding alternative venues. We'll keep you updated.

01.01.2022 Coronavirus update: Hi everyone. We have received word from the PCYC that we can train from next week, but that we have to maintain social distancing. That means only weapons training. I know that Bruce and Bronilyn will do this, but I have decided not to restart formal classes at the PCYC until we can engage in all aspects of training. We have not yet received word from the Police Academy, but I suspect the situation will be similar. With a bit of luck, we will be able to start training at the PCYC and the Police Academy at the same time. Please be patient, and we will resume training when we can. Robin
