05.01.2022 Thank you to Caitlyn for reminding us about this Japan Week event coming up at the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens Sun 19 Aug 2018 11:00am - 3:00pm. Featuring traditional activities such as Mochitsuki rice cake making, tea ceremony, calligraphy and Ikebana flower arranging. There will be Taiko drums and a Japanese choir performing traditional songs. Learn how to wear a Kimono, make your own Sushi rolls or make a Kokedama plant ball to take home (booking required - see link). Bonsai demonstrations from the Bimer Bonsai and QLD Bonsai societies. For the kids there will be Kamishibai and Kites storytelling, traditional Japanese Games and Origami.
