RSVP required. A Meeting link will be sent prior to the meeting. We would like to advise that the closing date for nominations for the MILSOM MEMORIAL AWARD is EXTENDED until Friday 14 AUGUST 2020. The Milsom Memorial Award was established at the end of 1982 upon the dissolution of the Medical Laboratory Scientists’ Association of Victoria (MLSAV). An initial sum of $2,500 was donated by the MLSAV to set up an annual award in honour of the late Mr. George Milsom who had given an outstanding contribution of service to Medical Laboratory Service in Victoria. The George Milsom Memorial Award is to be given for significant achievement or service in the field of Medical Laboratory Science in Victoria. Examples of nominees for this award would be: A scientist involved in a major scientific breakthrough or achieving National recognition or International recognition for his or her work. Any person who has given significant service at either Committee level or outside Committee.

A great opportunity exists to join an established private Histology Practice, dedicated to delivering a high quality and timely service to doctors and patients. Anatpath is a busy private histopathology laboratory and we are looking for an experienced Scientist / Technician to join our efficient and friendly team. We are seeking a person to fill a maternity leave position. It is a five-day per week role, essentially involving early morning microtomy and embedding. Occasional Saturdays could be rostered as part of the five-day week. Experience in a busy routine histopathology laboratory is essential. The successful candidate will be proficient in microtomy and embedding. Experience with either Frozen sections and / or immunohistochemistry on the Benchmark platform is not essential, but would be viewed favourably.
