23.01.2022 It's the LAST week to vote for us at AIN-Rehab, so please take the link and give us a vote. In fact vote from all your devices and do it each day for me. $10k means we can provide access to our exoskeleton in private practice to people in the community who have spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries and neuro-conditions like multiple sclerosis.
22.01.2022 Don't forget to LIKE and SHARE this video, and then VOTE for us on the link. You can also vote daily and from all of your devices for us. $10,000 would be amazing and help us continue our colaboration with Breaking Boundaries with making an exoskeleton available in private practice to help people in the Newcastle community who have an acquired stroke injury, a spinal cord injury or living with an illness like multiple sclerosis. #voteAINRehab
21.01.2022 Before we reveal how we went tonight at the NIB Foundation Pitchfest, we wanted to thank everyone for voting for us in the NiB Foundation Community Online Voting. While we didn’t win the $10,000, it was wonderful to see Share the Dignity take away the votes tonight and be awarded $10,000. We can’t thank everyone enough for the continued support.
21.01.2022 From an idea to help make a difference, fast forward to July 2019 and thanks to the generous support of our many community partners, donors, volunteers and you our Facebook community, we have Australia's first Rex Bionics exoskeleton involved in research trials and private practice. Neuro-rehab is a long, hard road. We face many challenges in making exoskeleton technologies accessible but we keep up the good fight for better neuro-rehab outcomes for Australians. Thank you fo...r helping us build an online community to raise awareness and funds for neuro-rehab. #thankyou #unlockingpossibilities #neurorehabcommunity #neurorehabawareness
19.01.2022 It is with excitement that I can say last night AIN-Rehab received $39,000 as part of the nib foundation Pitchfest held at Newcastle Museum. To share the stage with our peers from Waves of Wellness Foundation and Share the Dignity was an unforgetable experience and we are happy that we all shared in the total prize pool of $100,000. I'd like to personally thank the NIB Foundation, NIB Staff, Director Judi, and the team from The Funding Network Australia for the amazing supp...ort. A special thank you to our pitching coach Richard Duncan, who has been so generous with his time and advice, who drove the freeway last night to be in the room for all three NFP's presenting. We are lucky to call you our friend. Thank you to the audience last night, each person had $900 to pledge and each NFP was worthy of your $$'s. It was an honour to share my personal story and demonstrate our exoskeleton to you all. We can't thank you enough for your support. AND to the amazing support team we had in the room last night, knowing each of you were there in the room gave me the confidence to stand on the stage and tell my personal journey. Thank you Pip & Brea from Breaking Boundaries, our amazing exoskeleton demonstrator Nichole Watts who never says NO, Deb Austin, Grace & Roger Martinet, Eva Hammond, my Port Stephens family Jackie and Brian, your love and support means the world. AND to my biggest fan Cheryl Taylor who volunteers tirelessly for AIN. Thanks for everything you do in the background, crying more than anyone else and always having my back. Trish #unlockingpossibilities #neurorehabawareness

15.01.2022 It’s the eve of Neuro-rehab Awareness Day 2019! We are looking back at the HELLEN research trial and what lies ahead. In June 2016 thanks to a generous grant contribution from Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation, together with the support of Rex Bionics our research partnership with the The University of Newcastle, Australia was publicly launched. The HELLEN research trials, a world-first, went from an idea to reality thanks to the support of many professionals and oth...er volunteers giving up their time and expertise. We now have 26 people from the Hunter region who live with a stroke, acquired brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis or spinal cord injury, enrolled in the trial. Why we did it? Technology like robotics is now making it possible to deliver weight bearing therapy and gait training at an intensity that would be previously be back-breaking work for multiple therapists. We saw the gap! Evidence-based medicine means we have an obligation to evaluate what robotics can offer from improvements in functional recovery to quality of life. The trial is an important start. We know neuro-rehabilitation is complex and from our research we will not have all the answers to unlock the black box of rehabilitation. But technology is the way forward and this means funding for more neuro-rehabilitation research like the HELLEN trials is needed. The research team led by Dr Jodie Marquez, together with PhD candidate Nicola Postol will be analysing all the outcome measures when the trial wraps up in 2020. We look forward to sharing the outcomes of the HELLEN trial with you. Check out our HELLEN Research Trial Wall of Fame. Thank you to Nicola Postol for the images! :-) Thank you to each of the participants (their family and carers too) who have taken part in the trial. Special thanks to our volunteers for helping to create these very special photo memories. #neurorehabawareness #neurorehabresearch #unlockingpossiblities #partnering4impact
13.01.2022 Thank you so much for your generous donations to Emma Gee’s Run Melbourne 2019 Campaign. On behalf of Emma and the AINRehab team we thank you for helping us raise awareness and a grand total of $3763!!! A message from Emma Gee: Last Sunday I took on Run Melbourne. Thank you for all your kind messages of support. It helped me get across the finish line. I have participated for 5 years in Run Melbourne and have become used to finishing last. But 5th year lucky, this year I di...dn’t come last! With each step, I was reminded of my neuro-rehab journey and how far I’ve come from my stroke. But also, acutely aware about how far we need to go and what more we could be doing to get better neurorecovery outcomes for all Australians. With your support we can keep up the good fight! We just want to say, Thank You-Grazie-Merci-Dhanyavad-Mahalo-Danke-Arigato-Shukran-Obrigado-Spasibo-Toda-Asante-Takk-Gracias for your support!!! Have a great weekend! #thankyouEmmaGee #neurorehabawareness #unlockingpossibilities
12.01.2022 Today the 13th August is Neuro-rehab Awareness Day. Today we focus on spreading awareness about neuroplasticity and neurorecovery. It is a day to honour the memory of past pioneers in the field such as Dr Paul Bach-y-Rita and the continuing efforts of present-day neuroscientists, physicians, researchers and allied health workers, in seeking the best possible outcomes for people living with disabilities from neurological conditions. ... To the dedicated health professionals working in the neuro-rehab sector, we thank you. To every person undertaking what can be a long and complex life-long journey in pursuing your neuro-recovery, keep up the good fight. #neurorehab #neurorecovery #neuroplasticity

03.01.2022 Recently we learned we’d made it to the final three NFP’s in the NIB Foundation Pitchfest. So behind the scenes we have been working on our presentation, reviewing and practicing, right down to the finest detail. Tonight is the night, so wish us all the lucky in the world as we compete with two other amazing NFP’s Share the Dignity and Waves_of_Wellness for a chance to share in some amazing funding. It’s been a fantastic few weeks and we are blown away by the support we have... received from the wonderful nib foundation team, The Funding Network Australia and our amazing pitching coach Richard Duncan. Oh and the most important people, our friends, family, supporters and volunteers. Without all of your support we’d be doing this journey slower and tougher. We can’t thank each of you enough. Well let you all know later if we won the $10k community vote that we (really Cheryl) nagged and nagged everyone to vote for us in. #teamAINrehab
