11.01.2022 Subject to the COVID-19 situation remaining stable, the ACT will be further easing Stage 3 COVID-19 restrictions from 9am Friday 13 November 2020. What’s cha...nging in the ACT: All gatherings can increase from 200 to 500 (subject to density restrictions being met). To hold gatherings of greater than 500, an exemption in accordance with the ACT COVID Safe Event Protocol is required. More info here http://bit.ly/Event-Protocol The requirement for patrons to be seated while eating and drinking will be removed for outdoor spaces. This reflects considerable evidence that outdoor spaces present a lower risk of transmission of COVID-19 compared to indoor spaces, and will provide an opportunity for business to assess impacts of the change and implement new processes, if required. Three venue capacity rules apply: 1 Option 1: 25 people (excluding staff) across venues with a total usable space of 100 square metres or less. 2 Option 2 for hospitality venues only: 50 people (excluding staff) across venues with total usable space of between 101 and 200 square metres. 3 Option 3: maximum of 500 people for each space, applying the following rules: one person per four square metres of usable space in each indoor space (excluding staff). one person per two square metres of usable space in each outdoor space (excluding staff). Businesses, venues and facilities are strongly encouraged to request contact information from patrons using an electronic method. The free and secure Check In CBR app (www.covid19.act.gov.au/check-in-cbr) is available for venues to fulfil this requirement, which also removes the burden on venues to hold these records. For further industry-specific information on restrictions currently in effect, refer to the Business and Work section on the ACT COVID-19 website www.covid19.act.gov.au/business-and-work More information on the latest changes here www.covid19.act.gov.au/changes
