25.01.2022 A pleasure for the Ainslie Football Club to be able to award Life Membership to Lee Phillips at this mornings AGM. Lee has been involved with the Club in excess of 50 years as player, coach, runner, Board member, Senior President, parent. We look forward to another 50 years contributing to the Club. And thank you to all the Phillips family (Hugh, Benta, Lachie & Ollie) for allowing him to be so involved at the Club. Well deserved.

Unfortunately attendance at games is strictly limited due to Covid restrictions. ~ The Saturday game at Queanbeyan has a 500 spectator limit. ~ The Sunday game at Belconnen is by invitation ONLY. ~ The Junior games are limited to 1 parent per team. We wish all our teams a fantastic weekend.
23.01.2022 Yesterday afternoon saw the presentation of Ainslie Football Club LIFE MEMBERSHIP to the wonderful Barbara Marshall. Barbara was unable to attend the AGM on Sunday so Lee Phillips (Club President) and Simon Holt (General Manager) had the honour of presenting this award to our highly respected Club Patron. As a mark of Barbara's standing in the community AFC is the third organisation to bestow her Life Membership. ... Congratulations and Thank You Barbara. Barbara's & Lee's ongoing and outstanding efforts at the club were both recognised at Sunday's AGM, indeed a dynamic duo.

09.01.2022 Julie Rourke’s Funeral & Wake We have been requested by the family to help manage our presence (footballers and supporters) at the service and the wake. Funeral Service... Is at Norwood Crematorium in Mitchell. Service starts at 4.30pm. There are space restrictions in place. As such, unless you knew Julie well we would ask that you not take one of the inside seats. There is a 100 person restriction inside that the family have requested be prioritised for family and friends. The Rourke family will appreciate your support with this. NOTE DRESS CODE IS COLOURFUL CLOTHING (Hawaiian shirts are perfect). No Ainslie kit. Wake Again restriction apply to numbers at the Wake, and the family have requested that priority be given to family and friends. Suggest that those wanting to catch up with Rourkie and family look to attend wake late - perhaps go upstairs at Gungahlin Lakes or elsewhere in Gungahlin. Before looking to attend wake suggest you check our Facebook page to check availability. This is not an ideal situation however we are keen to support all the family’s wishes. We trust that those who knew Julie will go straight to wake, and others, who want to support Chris, bide their time, and wait for the all clear. Note access to wake will be vila Pro Shop, and people will need to use the QR scan to access. Thanks for your support.
