Tom speaks about his inspirational journey, highlighting his mental health battles and how he identifies and manages it on a daily basis. At the age of 24, Tom speaks with wisdom beyond his years and translates to listeners across all demographics. Tom shares the techniques and strategies he personally used to overcome some of the most challenging moments in his life. He t...ouches on living with mental health issues, dealing with criticism, as well as the happiness that can come from focusing on balance and self-care. This event is scheduled to run during Men’s Health week, 15 to 21 June. Men's Health Week provides a platform for challenging and debating key issues in men's health and to raise the profile of men, their health outcomes and health needs. 19.01.2022 To the Ainslie Park CC Community Hope you are all keeping well As many of you will know Nora Lamont has been a fantastic councillor and a major reason we have had upgrades at Ainslie Park... She was instrumental in gaining funding for the new practise nets approx. 6 years ago and also the oval surface upgrade. Nora has also been our major voice at council as we get closer to a clubrooms upgrade. Nora has regularly attended club fundraising events and support us where ever she can This year the council have re zoned all the wards for the council elections As such Nora will not be looking after our ward, but will continue to campaign for us The council elections are coming up and we would like to fully endorse her campaign for re election The election is 24 October. Ballot packs go out next week between 6-8 October and must be posted back by 23 October at 6pm. Please have a look at attached map of the new Wonga Ward which predominately is around North Ringwood If you live in that area or know anyone that does please ask them to Vote 1 for Nora Lamont We really would like to give Nora as much support as possible Any questions let me know David Delahunty President

17.01.2022 Congratulations to our U12’s, 14’s and 2nd XI on their premiership seasons. Unfortunately with the current circumstances in the world their games couldn’t go ahead but they all finished comfortably on top of the ladder and deserved their premierships because of their success during the season. Well done to everyone involved! IT’S OURS!

17.01.2022 Similar to how the season ended for our Grand final teams, our presentation night has also been cancelled. We were planning to live stream and announce the winners but unfortunately given the events of the last 48 hours we have decided to simply announce the award winners over social media formats (email / Facebook / team app). On behalf of the APCC committee and our members, I would like to thank you for your continued support throughout the 2019/20 season. While the below r...ecognises the individual achievements, cricket is a team sport built around a club and its culture and we thank you for wanting and being part of APCC. Our club won the RDCA Spirit of Cricket award this season across the competition and we all take part in making that happen, so well done to all parents and players it something we are very proud of and you are a big part of it. Well done to our U14/2 and U12/3 teams for winning their respective premierships. Both sides were undefeated throughout the season and while they didn’t get to compete in their respective Grand Finals, they were both very deserving premiership winners. Thank you to all coaches, team managers, scorers, and helpers that ensure the kids get to play each week and enjoy the game of cricket (or simply hanging out with friends). Without everyone contributing it just doesn’t work, so a big thank you to all those that volunteer their time I think you will agree the reward is in their smiles. Attached is a list of all junior award winners. Congratulations to all those individuals and the teammates that play alongside them and contribute to their individual success. There will be a more comprehensive summary in the annual report that we will disseminate once compiled. We will also contact each winner to arrange how we get the trophies to you at some date in the future. To all our members and families out there, take care of each other, be safe and we will see you next season. Regards Darren Walles Karen Ridley Junior Co-Ordinator Junior Secretary 0425 806 540 0448 448 421

17.01.2022 2nd XI training this week: Hey guys . We have received notification from the RDCA that we need to avoid holding training sessions for the moment . With this in mind we are going to cancel training for Tuesday and have 1 hit out on Thursday from 6pm sharp . By Thursday we should know a little more about the weekend and what it holds for us . Make sure you get there on Thursday night . Would love more numbers on Thursday to assist with training.

17.01.2022 Afternoon, Firstly we trust all our APPC members and families are safe and well in these uncertain times. If anyone needs any assistance at any time (now or in the future) please reach out, at APCC we look after our mates and families without question or judgement. ... Below is 3 aspects to keep you informed and help us plan for whatever the season may entail: Association updates: It is unlikely the season will start until at least the end of October at this stage still planning for a late Oct/early Nov start Cricket Victoria and the RDCA are confident that even a January start will allow a season to be completed with some fixturing ingenuity Team nominations (and grading) still need to be submitted in coming weeks Once there is clarity we expect everything to progress quickly, so important for clubs and members to be prepared as best we can We are expecting all levels of junior cricket to be undertaken (Woolworths blasters, Representative cricket carnivals etc) Some clubs have started taking registrations and payments. We have taken the view that now is not the right time with too much uncertainty. We will communicate in due course but rest assured when we have clarity and certainty we will advise and get things moving quickly. Planning (responses required please): Does your child intend to play cricket this season? What is your preferred method of communication (facebook, email, team app etc)? Do you have any questions or concerns at this stage? Given the changing environment we will require more hands on deck for the upcoming season: Each club is required to have a dedicated COVID Officer Live Scoring will be introduced and a subject matter expert would be ideal for each club Communication and support will be as important as ever If you feel you can add value in any area, or are looking to be involved there is always something to be done (big or small) so by all means let us know as it assists with our planning and creating the best environment for our kids. We can’t wait to see the kids back and playing cricket and having fun with their mates. Until that time arrives please stay safe, play your role in making it happen and we will see you all back at the club at some stage and won’t it be great to catch up with everyone again!! Take care Darren Walles Karen Ridley Junior Co-Ordinator Junior Secretary 0425 806 540 0448 448 421

16.01.2022 Ainslie Park sponsors joined members and friends tonight to support the T20 side for our last home game of the season before finals. The club wants to thank all sponsors for their ongoing support and hope they enjoyed the evening!

15.01.2022 Season 2020/21 Senior Cricket Survey Season 2020/21 will be a different one, but RDCA is seeking our feedback to try and make it work for as many people as possible. 15.01.2022 Hi Parkers, Just a reminder of a couple of things before the season starts this weekend and we all finally get back out on the park to play some cricket. One of the big changes this season is that food and refreshments are no longer provided by the home side so don't forget to bring plenty of drinks for yourselves before, during and after the game. Also bring whatever food you want to eat. There will be time at the innings break as all games are one day games only as per usua...l. Below is an extract from the RDCA of what you should expect and adhere to on game day. 1. COVID-19 Return to Play There is an obligation for all HOME team captains to ensure that they or their appointed team COVID-19 safety officer take responsibility for both teams and match officials check-in. This can be either via the designated QR code for that venue or the 1Breadcrumb app (preferred). Note, the AWAY team captain should be the go-to person for any queries relating to their check-in. Key aspects: Team lists should be entered into MyCricket prior to start of game; if not fill in scorebook team-sheet and enable opposition to take a photo. Hand sanitizing and cleaning of personal equipment to be done as frequently as use required including on arrival at ground. During play this must be at least every 10 overs for all players, umpires and officials (including scorers). The match ball is to be cleaned with an alcohol-based wipe every 10 overs. The match ball is to be placed at bowlers’ end stumps when a wicket is taken. It is to be placed in a zip lock bag at afternoon tea. cannot hold any player personal items including clothing. Maintain social distancing of 1.5 metres wherever possible, knowing that there will be fleeting instances where this is not possible. Any and all drink containers must be for personal use only. No afternoon tea to be provided by host club; individuals must be responsible for their own afternoon tea and drinks; these can be purchased from a club canteen if operational. Change of scorers must see wiping with an alcohol-based wipe everything to be used by new scorer; this includes pens, pencils, computers, tablets and laptops. Good luck and lets play well and most importantly enjoy yourselves and look out for each other.

14.01.2022 Hello Ainslie Park family, Best wishes to all as we reach the end of the season and I hope we're all staying safe. Season 2019/20 finished early but was another strong season for the club. On the field we had three premierships and one runner-up. While the three flags for the 2nd XI, the Under 14/2s and the Under 12/3s were all awarded without grand finals, they were well deserved. Congrats to the captains, coaches and teams and well done to everyone who took the field for t...he Parkers. The season was successful off the field as well, with notable and well-attended functions Oktoberfest, Ladies Day, our traditional Christmas Party and the 1999/2000 1st XI Premiership Reunion. Unfortunately, we have had to postpone senior presentation night. Junior awards were announced online on Wednesday - congratulations to all the winners. Senior awards will be announced via email and online by Easter (including the winners of the Blasterchef Award, a great new initiative from our social guru Rick). We also have the pleasure of announcing that the newest Ainslie Park Life Member is Trent Sier. Well done Ship and thank you for everything you've done for the club on and off the field for many years. A huge thank you to everyone who keeps the club going - the committee of course, but we can’t forget everyone else who does the big and small things to keep teams on the park and the club functioning. On that note, there are always more opportunities to put your hand up. If anyone is keen to join the committee there may be positions open for next year. At the moment our AGM is still scheduled for June but we’ll keep you up to date in coming months. Darren is also forming a junior committee and would love a few parents to join in and work together. Lastly - if anyone is interested in the position of Canteen Manager for next year, please get in touch. Looking forward to next year, in the meantime look after yourself, your family and your clubmates.

07.01.2022 As we head to the mid-season break just wanted to provide a quick update and wish everyone the best over the Xmas break. Family nights we hope to get these back up and running in the latter half of the season. A great opportunity to mingle amongst others, feel welcome at the club and have the kids efforts recognised in front of the senior group. Hopefully we can get this back up and running post January School holidays. 2019/20 Season trophies yes we still have them and y...es we are trying to get a format to have these presented rather than just handing them over individually as we feel the kids should be recognised on a greater scale (fingers crossed we can make that happen). Understand it has been a long time since last season finished but we didn’t want to rush it before Xmas. Hopefully we can arrange a family night early next year and present those winners with their trophies from last season. Volunteers - I would like to take this time to thank all our volunteers for their tireless work in what has been a challenging year and cricket season to date. To all the COVID officers, coaches, team managers, scorers, and helpers we really appreciate you giving up your time so the kids can have the best experience possible. A quick reminder that each and every one of us are volunteers doing their best job, at no time is it acceptable to criticise or make judgement, the only question that should be asked is if there is anything you can do to assist. In the event you may have any issues with their efforts then any feedback should be directed solely through myself, there is no other format for comment or judgement. Thank you to everyone that has made this season even possible, our results have been challenging to date but there is plenty of good signs in recent games. We have young sides in most age groups this season, nonetheless the results have been encouraging and the kids have shown great strength and improvement to work their way into the season. We have a great group of kids coming through and we are very proud of how they are representing the club. Good luck to all over the weekend for the final game before the break. On behalf of Ainslie Park Cricket Club and both the junior and senior committee, we wish you all a safe and merry Christmas and we will see you back at the club in 2021. Regards Darren Walles Karen Ridley Junior Co-Ordinator Junior Secretary 0425 806 540 0448 448 421

06.01.2022 Rainbow Meats have recently opened their Croydon store at the recently redeveloped Croydon Central. We know the quality of their produce is excellent so we need all members, family and friends to get behind them. Ainslie Park Cricket Club has a rewards card at the store so when you purchase anything let them know you are from the club and ask if the points from your purchase can go to the club. It shows them the loyalty we have to them so they are motivated to keep sponsoring us moving forward. Their management look at the rewards card when assessing future sponsorship commitments each year.

03.01.2022 APCC Senior Coaching Panel 2020/21 Ainslie Park Cricket Club is excited to announce the Senior Coaching panel for season 2020/21. Senior Coach - Leigh Jones... Assistant Coaches - Jake Tucker and David Killen Development Coach - Mark Arnot The panel will be led by Leigh Jones who is moving into the head coaching role after four seasons as an assistant coach. Leigh brings a wealth of coaching experience to the head role and will also return as our first XI captain for his second full season in the role. Mark Arnot who served with distinction as head coach for a decade is transitioning into a development coach role and will be guiding our next generation of cricketers through juniors and into senior ranks. Words don't do justice to all that Mark has achieved in his time as head coach and we are excited Mark is staying in the fold. The panel is rounded out by our two assistant coaches, the returning Jake Tucker and David Killen, a first time appointment. Jake showed his leadership credentials last year, leading by great example as he spent much of the season diligently rehabbing from a knee injury to return earlier than expected and achieve some great individual results. David showed himself to be a natural leader at training last season even without an official role and will act as great support for our younger players. In what are incredibly challenging times for all, we hope that Ainslie Park remains a positive outlet for our community of players and their families. Please give your full support to the coaching panel as they do all they can to ensure that the playing group gets the most out of a challenging season.
