25.01.2022 Its all looking a bit wet and gloomy at the moment, however tomorrow is looking much better! Perfect for getting out and coming down to Ainslie's Sunday social tennis at 2pm-4pm!
24.01.2022 The first round of the Neil Hendy Cup, doubles and singles, is underway and is bringing old and young, male and female together for very enjoyable clashes. Already Carol and Libbie have beaten Tui and Trevor while Kai and Steve have beaten Nahoko and Jess.
23.01.2022 Thursday Night Pennant news! The Thursday night Pennant just wrapped up its regular season rounds, and we can proudly say one of our Ainslie sides finished top of the division! Waiting on other results to be finalised to see if both of our teams made the Semi finals, where we could see an all Ainslie Semi final! A very strong showing in this competition for Ainslie!

19.01.2022 The Club has registered with ACT Health to use the Check In CBR app for anyone visiting the courts and/or the club house. From today you can use app to quickly record your attendance at our facility. If you have not downloaded the app yet see the instructions in the photo and remember, once downloaded and activated you can use the app to quickly record your presence at several hundred locations across Canberra. Much, much quicker than having to fill in a form and your data is secure.

18.01.2022 The Ainslie Tennis Club has a new website which brings together memberships and court bookings for the first time. As at 22 June we have introduced 12 month memberships from the date of purchase and have reintroduced court bookings by non-members through Book A Court. Steve Ryan, Club President
17.01.2022 Canberra Tennis league Spring season nominations open!! Want to get competitive? Want to represent your club and compete against other clubs in a competitive yet social environment? Canberra tennis league is a weekly competition where clubs play each other in a combination of singles and doubles play in order to find out who's the best!... The Competition is run on different nights (Monday, Thursday or saturdays)and have varying levels so there's levels for everyone. 17.01.2022 The Clubhouse has reopened! After several months of being locked up due to COVID 19, we can now happily announce that our clubhouse can reopen to its users! However some new rules apply: *Social distancing applies! A minimum of 4 square metres being occupied by each person in the clubhouse... *EACH PERSON using any facility in the clubhouse uses the provided cleaning equipment to wipe down surfaces that they touch before departing the clubhouse *People opening the clubhouse door, please wipe the door knob after doing so *All used disposable cloths, paper towel, etc to be placed in the bin with the red lid that is located within the clubhouse The clubhouse can be booked for social functions (as long as certain conditions are met), Enquiries should be sent to secretary @ainslietennis.com.au The clubhouse will only remain open as long as its users meet the hygiene requirements and the building does not represent a hygiene risk or unless there are fresh outbreaks of COVID 19 in Canberra which may present an unacceptable risk to its users.

However while all the information is up there, it needs a little bit of colour and personality that can come from you! We would love to have some photos from our members or guests that we can put up on the website! Take some photos while you’re playing, could be a selfie, coul...d be a dramatic action shot, or just the best photos of the courts in the sun and post them to the Ainslie tennis club facebook page (or message them to the page privately) and they could end up on the website! Hope to see some photos soon!
15.01.2022 Thank you to the wonderful members Mary, Judy, Faoud, Peter, Susan, Roger, Roma, Neil, Kai, Amelia, Jillian, Steve, Damian and Trevor who attended today’s working bee. We weeded, cleaned, gardened and continued sealing the fences so that balls are contained rather than rolling under the fences. This weekend also saw the first rounds of the Neil Hendy Cup being completed. The doubles and singles finals will be included in the Club’s Xmas BBQ in December.
09.01.2022 The 2020 Volunteer achievement award is open! We’ve had many wonderful volunteers at Ainslie, so let’s get them some recognition!
08.01.2022 Sunday 6th December!! Keep this day free in your diary!! This particular Sunday will host the Ainslie Christmas BBQ! It’s going to be a full day of exciting tennis action! With all the finals in the Neil Hendy cup as well as an open court session with coach Myles, there’s going to plenty of chances to get on court for a hit!... The restored clubhouse will also be officially unveiled on this day too! There’s just so much happening on this day! So come along down for the BBQ, and celebrate Christmas as well as the year that was 2020 on what should be a cracking day for tennis! Food contributions are welcome!

For the present time, courts are only available to be booked by members (this is the same for other clubs). Not a member? Well, there has never been a better time to join up. For only $100 (for singles) you get free unlimited daytime tennis for the rest of 2020, discounted fees for playing at night and you ca...n play in the local tennis league when it recommences if you want to get a bit more competitive.
