22.01.2022 Richard Grace and his team at Air Leasing, Sywell, Northampton, UK have outdone themselves, managing to get this beautiful aircraft reassembled, painted and flying in time for this weekend's Flying Legends airshow at Duxford, Cambridgeshire. This is the Hawker Fury, formerly VH-SFW, that left Moree airport around 3 months ago bound for the UK. What a credit to them, this aeroplane looks absolutely spectacular in in it's new livery. Well done Richard!!

06.01.2022 A periodic inspection getting done on Airtractor 802 VH-LIC under the big Black roofed hangar at Taree by Nathan, smarty and Jayden tonight ! With the ever chan...ging weather conditions we cant always get the planes to hangar facilities for maintenance, tonight Terry was happy to lend us his shed at Taree airport which we greatly appreciate! People may not know but VH-LIC is owned by Aircair Aviation and is the first Airtractor 802 ever built ( serial number 1 ) and it goes out every day fighting fires like the new ones ! We have guys at Nowra and Taree tonight servicing machines away from family and friends and we would like to thank them for their efforts ! See more

05.01.2022 A number of Moree people have been working around the clock for months to help put out the bushfires that are devastating much of NSW and Queensland. Thank you to all those involved in the fire effort!

05.01.2022 As good as a Formula 1 Pit Crew ! Firefighters on the ground are regularly supported by aerial water bombing. One of the aircraft used on the Mid Coast these pa...st few weeks is the Single Engine Air Tanker (SEAT). These planes have been working out of Taree airport and can land refill and takeoff in under 5 minutes thanks to the gun ground crew. They are using recycled water supplied by MidCoast Council from a 250,000-litre storage tank. The SEAT holds 3,000-litres of water that is loaded in under 2 minutes by a ground crew of four. On Tuesday this week Boyd, Josh, Glyn, and Robert from Maitland and Wyong completed 103 loads for the day with 4 SEAT operating. So far this week they have loaded over 800,000-litres of recycled water. Manning River Times, NSW Rural Fire Service - Central Coast District, NSW RFS Lower Hunter.

04.01.2022 We have an aeroplane spreading urea just West of Moree today, apologies for the noise! Please be aware that the aircraft is not actually spraying any liquid at all, it is merely spreading solid urea granules, just as you would spread on your lawn

03.01.2022 Rightio Rev-heads and Aviation Fanatics, here's some pics over the last 12 months of the rebuild-stage of the overhaul of a Bristol Centaurus Mk XVIII engine. This is a 1940's British built, 53 Litre engine capable of 2,550 horsepower. Of course, it bolts real nice onto a Hawker Sea Fury...! The team at Aerotec NT (Darwin, NT) are responsible for the overhaul, led by the world renowned Nobby Bartsch & his protege, Peter Bradley.

02.01.2022 What do you use to load urea when you run out of utes?
