25.01.2022 #MeetYourGuard Private Malcolm Meakins enlisted into the Australian Army on the 23rd of August 2016. Previously to this, Meakins was a butcher by trade and dec...ided that he was ready for a career change, something that would hopefully challenge him and bring new experiences. After completing his initial training, Private Meakins was posted to 176 Air Dispatch, RAAF Base Richmond as an Air Dispatcher. The role of an Air Dispatcher is to pack, rig, load and unload stores/equipment for all modes of air movement. Private Meakins was posted to Australia's Federation Guard in 2019 where he has proven himself to be a vital asset of the Guard. During his time at the Guard he has become a Drummer for the Precision Drill Team and is often driving the bus to events and ceremonies. Thanks for your service Mal!
