24.01.2022 Retirement of our longest serving Employee: Jim Stavretis We recently wished our best to the longest serving employee: Jim Stavretis, on his retirement. Jim has been a part of the Australian fan industry for 53 years, whereby he started off as a draftsman for Richardson & Sons in 1967 right after completing his mechanical engineering degree. He then joined forces with Aerotech Fans in 1993, as a design engineer and transitioned into sales around 1996, as the business expande...d. His earnest approach and selfless attitude helped him build close relationship with several key customers, which is truly exemplary. As we celebrate Jim’s retirement, we also acknowledge his diverse skillset and knowledgebase, which over the years has helped the business attract various new opportunities. Today, Aerotech Fans, is a well-established and leading player in designing and manufacturing bespoke centrifugal fans across Australia. We look forward to uphold the high benchmarks Jim and rest of the team have established over the years, with a view of better serving the fan industry! Interesting fact: There’s more than 200 years of fan industry experience in a single picture below!

06.01.2022 AirEng has Australia's largest Venturi type test rig. Conforming to ISO5801, this rig gives more reliable, accurate, reproducible results compared with a pitot traverse type arrangement. Setup was with assistance by some former staff at CSIRO. It is over 3,000mm diameter and rated to 10,000Pa. WE believe AirEng tests more fans than any other company in Australia, helping us to confirm the performance of the fans we build, giving a very high degree a confidence for our client...s to depend on. AirEng has pitot traverse rigs that allow for testing fans from 50mm to over 3000mm diameter. Our parent company has arguably the largest range of fan test rigs in the world. https://lnkd.in/gUPe9y6 #engineering, #ISO5801, #engineers #manufacturing #aerospace #mechanical #mining #oilandgas #engineer #mechanicalengineering #fanperformance #fantesting #testing
